Cuba does not only shine through its dream beaches and numerous diving spots. Fortunately, nature lovers and enthusiasts of beautiful architecture will also find what they are looking for. Colonial mansions, sunny squares, vintage cars, the cradle of cigar production... you have arrived in Havana, one of the most evocative capitals! Budding historians will delight in strolling through the old center of Havana, where splendid colonial buildings stand. Linger for a few hours in the Plaza de la Catedral, dominated by a magnificent religious building, before heading to the Plaza de Armas, where the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales stands.
For nature, put on your sneakers and set off on a pleasant trek in the heart of the Topes de Collante Natural Park. Stretching through the heart of the Escambray massif, the park will give you a glimpse of Cuba's rich animal and plant biodiversity. However, the preserve of hikers remains the unspoiled Sierra Maestra park and the Sierra del Rosario, which offer a rich flora and fauna full of surprises. Also take a look at the Viñales Valley Botanical Garden, in the middle of lush, unspoiled nature, including tobacco and coffee plantations. Take in the view ofthe so-called "smoky mountains", the famous limestone mountains that form part of the valley's symbolic scenery. Take a trip to Laguna de la Leche, the largest natural lake on the island, which is home to a wide variety of water birds and will delight ornithologists.
You can also take advantage of a catamaran charter in Cuba to reach the iconic Cuban cities, full of charm and rich in history, architecture and heritage: Baracoa, Trinidad, Santiago, Santa Clara, Cienfuegos, Camagüey and Holguìn.

Practical information for a sailboat charter in Cuba
When to go to Cuba by sailboat?
Cuba has a tropical climate and is warm all year round. The dry season is from November to May, and the wet season from June to October.
- During the dry season: The average air temperature is 24°C, and the water temperature is 26°C. It's ideal for sailing. We recommend January, February and March for a trip to Cuba, when there is the least rainfall.
- During the wet season: The humidity and heat can be difficult to bear. The rains can be violent, especially in the regions of Havana and Pinar el Rio. But they mainly take place at the end of the day, making a cruise possible at that time. Swimmers and divers will enjoy a sea temperature of up to 30°C. Avoid the months of September and October, when rainfall is at its highest and there is a risk of hurricanes.
