From a personal dream to a shared adventure
Philippe Brunet – founder of Filovent – grew up in a difficult family environment, where responsibilities came far too early. At 9 years old, in Brittany, he discovered sailing thanks to his uncle Maurice and felt the freedom of the open sea for the very first time.
Driven by this dream, he began working as a teenager to pay for his studies and, at 20, founded the Club Nautique de Paris X (Paris Nanterre University). Two years later, an entrepreneurship course became the catalyst: he created Filovent to share this freedom with others.
The early days were modest, with flyers handed out at the exit of the Boat Show. In 2000, filovent.com opened sailing up to the whole world. Little by little, Philippe surrounded himself with a strong, passionate team, with the support of his wife Sabrina.
Today, Filovent is present in more than 80 countries and brings together 60 close-knit team members, united by one belief: sailing is a source of freedom and unique emotions.

Everything starts with a conversation. You share what you’re looking for, and together we find the best option among more than 20,000 boats for charter or nearly 1,000 cruises.
Our role is to turn a vast range of options into a tailor-made choice. And beyond the boat and the cruise itself, we also arrange flights, transfers, and hotels. No mental load on your side: if anything unexpected happens, we step in and handle it for you.
Our concierge service is there for you: provisioning, real-time local advice, and technical support. If something unexpected happens on the water, we’ll find an immediate solution.
Once you’re back on shore, we’re still here to handle any situation that requires follow-up and to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Marie Dufay, a journalist and photographer specialising in boating and tourism, has been exploring the world’s seas for 25 years, moving between reporting, maritime anthropology, and life in the Caribbean.
Daphné Buiron, a glaciologist by training, is a polar guide and lecturer. For more than ten years, she has been traveling across the Arctic and Antarctica on a journey of scientific, cultural, and artistic exploration.
