When to go sailing in Thailand?
Thailand is a tropical country where you can sail all year round! However, some periods are more favorable than others, depending on the areas you plan to visit.
On the whole, it is preferable to go in winter, between November and April, during the dry season. Temperatures vary around 30° and the weather is sunny and dry. However, it is also possible to go during the monsoon, the rest of the year, but sailing will surely be more strenuous, with stronger winds and a higher risk of rain. However, there are safe areas for sailing at this time of year, from Phang Nga Bay to Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta.
Please note: between July and October, prices are lower in all visitor centers, but some islands remain closed.

The unmissable spots on your cruise in Thailand
Bangkok
The capital of Thailand, Bangkok is the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. The large shopping centers blend into the city's older architecture, with the old canals, called"khlongs", crisscrossing the city and the many Buddhist temples that make up the history of Bangkok. Capture the soul of the city while hauling in a meal of street food, trying out a traditional Thai massage, or climbing aboard a speedboat on the Khlong Saen Saeb!

The island of Koh Tao
Knownas Turtle Island, Koh Tao has charmed more than a few of its visitors. It's simple: with white sandy beaches, lush vegetation, exceptional viewpoints and idyllic diving spots, it has everything you could want from a little paradise. Once a political prison, the island now attracts many tourists, some of whom stay forever! Koh Tao offers exceptional landscapes both on land and at sea. You can marvel at the breathtaking views from the heights of the island, but also enjoy the underwater spectacle in the natural aquarium populated by tropical fish and multicolored corals, pinnacles, angelfish, butterflyfish, and even stingrays. For diving enthusiasts, exploring the wreck of the catamaran is particularly recommended during your cruise in Thailand.

The island of Pattaya
A seaside resort in the south of Thailand, Pattaya is an island with many qualities. Although its reputation has been tarnished by sex tourism, it is still a place of interest. It has two facets: during the day, relax on one of its white sandy beaches or visit the Wat Khao Phra Bat temple with the family; in the evening, enjoy the nightlife, discover the shows, concerts and go-go bars of Walking Street and the city's nightclubs! There are many beaches worth visiting, such as Jomtien Beach, which also hosts a world water-jet-powered motorized craft competition in December, or Naklua Beach and Wongamat Beach, for a more peaceful experience. While you're in Pattaya, take the opportunity to sail tothe paradise island of Khram Yai, a few kilometers to the south.

The island of Phuket
Phuket Island needs no introduction; it is a must-see in Thailand. While the beauty of its beaches attracts many, the old town deserves just as much attention. Don't miss a stroll along Thalang Road, where you can see the colorful 19th-centuryshophouses, which are nothing more than small traditional shops with the owners' living quarters right above. Phuket is also prized for its seafood cuisine, both refined and popular. Finally, one cannot present Phuket without mentioning its luxury establishments and renowned nightlife. Bangla Road will satisfy the most hard-core party animals among you! In a word, a stop in Phuket is a must during your cruise in Thailand.

Phang Nga Bay
Easily accessible by boat from Krabi or Phuket, Phang Nga Bay is a must-see on any trip to Thailand. Although a large part of the bay is now protected, it is still possible to admire the magnificent scenery: limestone peaks emerging from the water, sea caves and mangroves. The bay is home to national parks, including AO Phang Nga National Park, in which the famous"James Bond Island"is located, which owes its name to its appearance in the British film directed by Hamilton, not to mention the Phang Nga Bay Marine National Park, which protectscountless animal species, some of which are endangered. Numerous water sports are on offer, from kayaking to rafting, including canoe safaris in the Phang Nga jungle, so that everyone can find something to suit them in the emerald green bay and lagoon!

The Koh Phi Phi Islands
A detour to the Koh Phi Phi islands, located in the Andaman Sea, is a must on your catamaran cruise in Thailand! The archipelago is made up of six islands, the best known being the main island, Koh Phi Phi Don, and the island that served as the setting for Danny Boyle's film (The Beach), Koh Phi Phi Ley. The first is the most developed, although motorized traffic is not permitted there. You can discover its beautiful white sand beaches accessible by boat, such as Loh Dalum Beach or Monkey Beach. The second, whose beauty is praised by all visitors who have been lucky enough to visit, is famous for Maya Bay, a true jewel of the island. It appears as an enclave in a turquoise lagoon, enclosed by limestone peaks. Unfortunately, the influx of tourists to Koh Phi Phi Ley led to its closure between 2018 and 2022 for the regeneration of its marine flora, making a visit to the island subject to discussion.

The island of Koh Nakha Yai
In the north of the Phuket region, discover a small fishing village on the island of Koh Nakha Yai, easily accessible by catamaran. You will appreciate the splendid white sand beaches and magnificent diving spots. A little to the south of the island is its "little sister", Koh Nakha Noi, knownas the pearl island. It owes its name to its pearl farm, which you can visit on an excursion. As a souvenir of your cruise in Thailand, you can take home a pearl, bought in the farm shop!
