Do I need a visa for a cruise in Asia?
- Vietnam: French travelers are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of no more than 45 days. You will therefore not need one to take a cruise exclusively in Vietnam. To benefit from this visa exemption, the French passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of your stay in Vietnam.
- Cambodia: A visa is required to enter the country. The tourist visa on arrival is generally valid for 30 days and costs $30 per person. Visa applications can be made online at the following address: https://www.evisa.gov.kh/, through our partners or directly on arrival at the airport.
- Laos: French travelers require a visa to enter Laos and the passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of departure from Laos. Applications can be made through our partners, online or directly upon arrival in Laos. The visa costs between 30 and 45 USD for a single-entry visa.
- Thailand: French travelers are generally exempt from visa requirements for a stay of no more than 30 days. Thus, an exclusive cruise in Thailand does not require a visa. Please ensure that your French passport is valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
Are there any health precautions to take when going on a cruise in Asia?
Although there are no compulsory vaccination requirements for travel to the countries where we offer cruises, it is advisable to be up to date with vaccinations (notably typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B, and tetanus). We advise you to consult your doctor before departure to find out what precautions to take, particularly against malaria, which is present in the region. "Tropical zone" mosquito repellents are recommended.
