What do our cruises in Asia involve?

Our cruise packages in Asia

The cruises we offer in Asia are all-inclusive cruises that allow you to discover many sites in a unique way. By choosing our package, you will board a spacious ship with your own private cabin, while sharing the friendly atmosphere of the ship with other travelers. The professional and attentive crew will ensure that you have a most enjoyable stay. We offer various cruise packages, with a range of durations and prices, allowing you to discover many Asian countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.

What type of boat is used for cruises in Asia?

Our cruises on the Mekong are mainly carried out on the side of the boat of traditional cruises, large motorboats accommodating around fifty travelers, very suitable for this type of cruise. Some cruises also take place on traditional sailboats, which can accommodate between two and ten people, for a more intimate experience. Finally, our cruises in Thailand take place on spacious, high-end catamarans. All of these boats have luxurious cabins with private bathrooms and superb relaxation areas to help you make the most of your cruise.

What activities are available on our cruises in Asia?

During our cruises, in addition to sailing, daily activities are planned to immerse you in the culture of the region and help you relax. On board our cruises in Thailand, you can paddle through crystal-clear waters in a kayak, dive in exceptional dive sites, and paddle along the coast. Discover unspoiled islands and breathtaking lagoons, offering a perfect getaway for adventure lovers.

During your cruise on the Mekong, you can enjoy cultural visits such as temples, cities and local markets. But unique activities are also included in different tours, such as cooking workshops, tea tastings, visits to rice workshops, tai chi classes or tuk tuk rides. These activities are all detailed in our cruise packages. French-speaking guides will be at your side for each visit.

  • Phnom Penh: The Cambodian capital combines ancient charm and modern renewal. Discover its famous royal palace and the S-21 prison, which tell the complex history of the country.
  • Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor: Close to the Mekong, Siem Reap is the gateway to the temples of Angkor, the largest religious complex in the world. The immense Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples, such as Ta Prohm and Bayon, offer an exceptional journey through Khmer history.
  • Halong Bay: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural wonder is renowned for its thousands of islands, creating a breathtaking landscape.
  • Koh Phi Phi: The Koh Phi Phiarchipelago in Thailand, made up of Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Leh, offers an idyllic tropical getaway with its fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and spectacular rock formations. When to set sail on a cruise to Asia?

The ideal time for a cruise in Asia (Mekong or Thailand) is from November to April, during the dry season. More specifically, set sail between December and March to enjoy optimal conditions. You will enjoy a mild climate, reduced flooding and magnificent flowering. The rainy season, from May to October, with a monsoon between April and September, brings more frequent rainfall and strong winds. However, a cruise outside the tourist season can offer a unique experience.

The region has an average temperature of 33°C throughout the year, with the hottest months being between February and June. It is important to note that conditions may vary from region to region.

Useful information for your cruise in Asia

Do I need a visa for a cruise in Asia?

  • Vietnam: French travelers are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of no more than 45 days. You will therefore not need one to take a cruise exclusively in Vietnam. To benefit from this visa exemption, the French passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of your stay in Vietnam.
  • Cambodia: A visa is required to enter the country. The tourist visa on arrival is generally valid for 30 days and costs $30 per person. Visa applications can be made online at the following address: https://www.evisa.gov.kh/, through our partners or directly on arrival at the airport.
  • Laos: French travelers require a visa to enter Laos and the passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of departure from Laos. Applications can be made through our partners, online or directly upon arrival in Laos. The visa costs between 30 and 45 USD for a single-entry visa.
  • Thailand: French travelers are generally exempt from visa requirements for a stay of no more than 30 days. Thus, an exclusive cruise in Thailand does not require a visa. Please ensure that your French passport is valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

Are there any health precautions to take when going on a cruise in Asia?

Although there are no compulsory vaccination requirements for travel to the countries where we offer cruises, it is advisable to be up to date with vaccinations (notably typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B, and tetanus). We advise you to consult your doctor before departure to find out what precautions to take, particularly against malaria, which is present in the region. "Tropical zone" mosquito repellents are recommended.

How do I book a cruise in Asia?

To book your cruise in Asia, you can make a booking request from our website. Once we have received your request, an advisor will contact you by telephone to understand your plans (duration, budget and activities). They will then send you cruise suggestions by email. Once you have found the cruise you want, you can pay a deposit in your customer area to confirm the charter and secure the boat.
