The Albanian must-sees
Vlorë between sea and lagoon
This Albanian city, between the sea and the mountains, will charm you with its wild beaches and authentic local atmosphere. I think the Byzantine monastery onthe island of Zvërnec is magnificent and will delight you as much as it did me!
Durrës, the ancient soul
Both a seaside resort and a historic site, Durrës immerses you in history while offering you the sweet scent of vacation. A bit of history: the Roman amphitheater of Durrës is one of the largest in the Balkans! Nestled in the heart of the city, it can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators and bears witness to the prestigious past of Durrës, a former city of the Roman Empire. Take a dip from the mast top!
Saranda, a port of call in the south
The pearl of the south, Saranda is perfect for alternating swimming with archaeological discoveries, particularly at Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This small town, located 20 minutes from Saranda, is home to 2,500 years of history. I recommend you stop by, it's impressive!
