Explore the iconic Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world's first monumental stone building. Continue on to the Pyramid of Titi, famous for its pyramid texts, and explore the tombs of the nobles, richly decorated with scenes from daily life. Then head south to Dahshur, where pyramid architecture has taken on spectacular new forms. Visit the fascinating Bent Pyramid, with its unique angles, and the Red Pyramid, considered to be the first true smooth-sided pyramid and the predecessor of those at Giza.
