Optional excursions:
Ilulissat Ice Fjord by sea: aboard local boats accompanied only by the captain, sailing for around 1h45 along the Ilulissat coast to the mouth of the fjord, to encounter the floating icebergs in Disko Bay and its ice cliffs. It's a breathtaking spectacle to behold these colossal masses with their bluish reflections, their deep caverns and their flanks attacked by wind and foam. Places are limited. Price per person (from): €140.
Sermermiut and the icy Ilulissat Fjord: cross Ilulissat by coach to “the end of the road”. Then walk (approx. 45 min.) to the Sermermiut lookout, offering a magnificent view of the mouth of the fjord dotted with icebergs. Sermermiut is also an important archeological center, where many civilizations have succeeded one another: Saqqaq, Dorset, Thule... The return to the coach is also a walk through this enchanting landscape (approx. 45 min.). Places are limited. Price per person (from): €75.
Ilulissat glacier from the air: availability and prices on request. Helicopter flight over the glacier with possibility of landing (depending on weather conditions). Flight time: approx. 1 h.

Discover Sisimiut on foot: a 2-hour walk to discover Sisimiut, set in a mountainous landscape. Pass through the old town with its beautiful colonial houses, the heart of the town, Lake Nalunnguarfik where all winter activities start and the meat market. Free visit to the Sisimiut Museum, which houses a collection of handicrafts, tools and ancient objects, as well as a 17th-century church altarpiece and some late 18th-century paintings. Mountain hikes: discover the surrounding mountains. Depart by bus to the city border and the start of the Arctic Circle Trail. From here, walk through mountainous landscapes in the wild and along streams to discover the delicate flora of the Arctic mountains, full of fragrance and color.
