Le Marin Îles des Saintes
After a few hours on the plane, you will land in Martinique, originally known as "Madinina," the... more+ island of flowers. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to the new marina in the village of Le Marin. This is the largest marina in the Lesser Antilles. Once on board, you will be introduced to your crew, skipper, and cook, and shown to your cabin. The captain will then give you all the information you need about the cruise, followed by a welcome cocktail and aperitif dinner. Boarding is at 6 p.m., and we will sail to Les Saintes, skirting the coasts of Martinique and Dominica.

Optional afternoon activity: visit Portsmouth, the island's second largest city, then Fort Shirley in Cabrits National Park, north of the scenic Portsmouth Peninsula, before ending with a trip on the Indian River, where the famous Pirates of the Caribbean saga was filmed, aboard a colorful boat equipped with long wooden oars to observe the flora and fauna. Breakfast on board. Early morning departure for Saint-Pierre, crossing the Dominica Canal. Formerly... more+ known as "Little Paris" before the volcanic eruption, it is the former capital of Martinique. Lunch on board. Optional afternoon activity: visit the island, classified as a city of art and history and a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the ruins left by the eruption of Mount Pelée, which destroyed the island in 1902, Morne Rouge and the Emeraude estate, a museum space, a walk in the undergrowth for a brief introduction to the various ecosystems of Martinique, then a stop at a distillery offering one of the best rums on the island. Dinner and night on board.
