Do I need to reserve parking spots in advance at my stopovers?
Updated on: 26/05/2025A marina is like a restaurant: during peak season, in certain popular destinations, it’s best to book in advance—ideally on the day of or the day before your arrival. You can find contact information for most ports online. We also recommend downloading the NAVILY app, which lists marinas along with their features and allows you to easily book some of them online. For smaller ports that aren’t listed and don’t have a website, your base manager can provide you with the contact details on-site.
Generally, even during peak season, visitor berths are available if you arrive early enough in the afternoon (2 or 3 p.m.). In this case, it’s best to plan your trip for earlier in the day.
As for buoys, they generally do not need to be reserved. You moor at the buoy, and someone in a dinghy will come to collect the mooring fee.
