Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

For bareboat rentals, a boat licence and sailing experience are generally required. For skippered rentals or crewed cruises, no licence is needed. Canal boats can be rented without a licence.

Can I rent a canal boat without prior experience?

Yes. Canal boats are licence-free and beginner-friendly. A short briefing is provided at departure to get you comfortable with handling and locks.
