Bar is a town in Montenegro. In 2003, the city had 13,719 inhabitants and the municipality 40 037 Bar is located on the Adriatic. It is the main port of the country and also a tourist hub. She was also called Antivari opposed to the Italian city of Bari which is on the opposite side of the Adriatic. Antivari gave its name to a naval battle of the First World War (16 August 1914): see Combat Antivari.
