Oeiras is a town and a Portuguese municipality in the west of the town of Lisbon in Portugal.
Oeiras fortresses was part of the maritime defense of Lisbon, built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, as Fort St. Laurence (known Bugio) on a small island in the middle of the Tagus and the fort of São Julião da Barra, two examples of military architecture of the Renaissance.
