Formentera is the smallest island of the Spanish Balearic Islands. It is located south of the island of Ibiza with which it forms all Pityusen islands. With a length of 19 km, is located about 3 nautical miles (6 km) south of Ibiza in the Mediterranean Sea. The main villages are Sant Francesc Xavier, Sant Ferran de ses Roques, El Pilar de la Mola, Es Pujols and La Savina. The island was accessible only by boat from Ibiza, but in recent years regular lines from the Spanish mainland has helped to make this land available and simultaneously develop its tourism. The island is known for its pristine but for naturism is accepted on most of these tracks.
