Didim is a chief town of the district of Ayd?n Province in the Aegean region of Turkey. The population of the city is strong enough Didimus growth.
The city is 123 km from the provincial capital of Ayd?n. The district is a peninsula, it is bounded to the north by the Meander River and Lake Bafa. It is limited to the south by Cape Takeaěaç (Takeaěaç Burun) former Cape Poseidon limestone plateau.
Forest cover is reduced and non-crop areas are covered with scrub. Apart from the road and the coastal area is undeveloped.
Didim district has two major sites of the Hellenistic period, Miletus and Didyma.
