Gaeta Ponza Palmarola
Gaeta is steeped in history and rich in ancient monuments. This is where you'll find the Monte... more+ Orlando Park, a protected area with Roman ruins. Monte Orlando can only be reached on foot, or by shuttle bus during the summer months. As you climb the mountain, you'll pass the statue of the Virgin and Child, which protects the magnificent bay of Gaeta. It's a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers.
Then we'll sail to Ponza and Palmarola in the Pontine Islands. Pastel houses rise in neat terraces from Ponza's bustling harbour, where elegantly maintained yachts and local fishing boats dock side by side. Fortunately, there are few tourists and it's a pleasure to stroll around this unspoilt town. You'll be snorkelling at Palmarola, a craggy island with pink coral beaches and emerald coves.
