Who is allowed to operate a houseboat?

- you must be at least 18 years old
- be accompanied by a second adult who is at least 18 years old and physically able (in fact, riverboat rental insurers require this, as they consider it important for safely performing maneuvers, particularly when passing through locks)
- you have completed therequired training before boarding
No license is required to rent our license-free houseboats, unless otherwise specified.
