How do I pay the skipper?
Updated on: 26/05/2025If you rent a boat and hire a professional skipper:
- Either you pay them on site, usually in cash (this is most common in Greece or Croatia, for example).
- Or you pay them through Filovent, along with the deposit and the balance.
This does not depend on us, but on the charter company’s policy. The same applies to the services of a hostess. Please note that skippers are independent freelancers.
Please note: if you choose to book a boat from a charter company’s fleet that does not provide skippers, you will need to hire a skipper through a skipper booking platform (CaptNBoat in France, Tripulacion.net in Spain, CaptainsandCrew in Italy), which will provide details on payment terms.
