The Bimini Islands are an archipelago and a district of the Bahamas that consist of two main islands, North Bimini and South Bimini.
The Bimini is located about 80 miles east of Miami Beach.
The islands are known primarily as a hotbed of fishing. As the Bimini islands are separated by only 80 km from Miami (Florida), the archipelago is home to many American fishermen from a boat. Diving is also a popular activity, many shipwrecks lying in the surrounding waters.
