It is located northeast of the island of Murter, which is only 7 nautical miles from the National Park Kornati.
This small port has a unique architectural ensemble that is the result of an old naval tradition of 200 years.
The Kornati National Park is a group of islands, islets, reefs and shoals that extend parallel to the coast, about 11 miles; they consist of rocks and broken shells and only appears in places a thin layer of grass.
Currently there is no permanent settlement on the islands, with a few houses occupied by fishermen and farmers in some seasons.
