Larmor-Plage is a French commune member Lorient Agglomeration community, located in the department of Morbihan, Brittany.
Larmor-Plage is the name given to the town at its inception in 1924, adding "beach" in the name of the village of Larmor is due to the presence of Larmor-Baden, Morbihan another town. The village of Larmor before his name with that of the old spelling of the name of the pilgrimage chapel "Our Lady of the Armor," which originally stood alone on the promontory in the sea. Name An Arvor Breton-also follows this original transcription of the Breton name of the chapel being "Itron Varia Arvor year."
