The geography of Guadeloupe has long disadvantaged its nautical development since the economic and tourist centers rather were on the Mainland whose coasts are quite exposed and the few natural harbors except the bay of Pointe-à-Pitre.
But it is at the bottom of a bag ass, outside the major axis connecting the Northern Islands, as Antigua, those in the South such as Martinique.
However the Marina Bas du Fort in the sheltered harbor of Pointe-à-Pitre where our yacht charter base is a good base for exploring the various shelters along the coast of Guadeloupe, is traveling the islands Désirade, Saintes (20 miles) or Marie Galante.
This lovely large marina is perfectly equipped with all kinds of facilities, both technical and practical.
