Herceg Novi is a town in Montenegro located only a few kilometers from Croatia. It is a tourist resort on the Bay of Kotor.

The city was founded as a fortress in 1382 by Bosnian King Tvrtko I called Sveti Stefan - or, in the Italian manner, San Stefano (now the name of the city to another in Montenegro).
