Founded in 1398, Mali Lo?inj Lo?inj ie the "small" did not become great until the seventeenth century, thanks to its location and its bay so well protected. Churches and beautiful houses naval officers testify to its glorious past, especially in the nineteenth century. Small shipyards are still here today, at the entrance of the city. A local pride: a Greek statue found off Lo?inj in 1999. It must be exposed in a palace on the harbor, restored for the occasion.
