Le Lavandou is a commune in the Var (Côte d'Azur Var) on the shores of the Mediterranean, facing the Golden Islands (Port-Cros, Ile du Levant and Porquerolles) and at the foot of the Massif des Maures. Hyères is 22 km to the west, Cavalaire 20 km east by road.
