Lychen is a German city situated in the district of Uckermark north of Brandenburg. It had 3,527 inhabitants as of December 31, 2010, its population has been steadily declining (3,729 in 2007).
The municipality of the city of Lychen includes several lakes, including Lake Küstrin great, and is the limit of seven lakes, the Wurlsee, the largest lake in Lychen the Nesselpfuhl, the Oberpfuhl, Lake Platkow, Zenssee the lake and the city. Lychen is connected to the upper channel of the river Havel by Woblitz. The town is bounded on the north by the Plateau of Mecklenburg lakes.
