Capital of the Maresme, narrow strip of land between the coastal mountain range and the sea a few kilometers from Barcelona, Mataro is a city full of life, constantly changing and with a rich cultural heritage which it has its own personality . Our unrivaled location (next to the sea and mountains of the chain Serralada Litoral) allows to have perfect weather to enjoy the city.
From this base of Mataro, you can easily navigate and coasting to the long sandy beaches (Calella, Pineda, Malgrat) and charming seaside villages (Arenys, Canet, Sant Pol) or ride to the famous Costa Brava.
