Panarea is a small volcanic island (3.4 km ²). It is geographically located between the island of Lipari and Stromboli. It is inhabited since the fourteenth century BC.
There are still on the island of ancient remains, in particular the foundations of huts oval. The archaeological museum of Lipari includes objects from the excavations of Panarea.
