Your adventure begins in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. In the early afternoon, board... see+ your expedition ship and take some time to settle in before departure.
The voyage begins in the legendary Beagle Channel, offering magnificent panoramic views of the mountains of Tierra del Fuego. The ship stops in Puerto Williams, the southernmost city on the planet. You’ll have the opportunity to explore this small, isolated port, the gateway to Chilean Patagonia and the Southern Lands.
At the end of the day, the ship sets sail again toward the legendary Cape Horn, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet. This first leg of the voyage marks the true beginning of your polar expedition, following in the footsteps of the greatest explorers of the Far South.

Beagle Channel Cape Horn Drake Passage
After a night cruise across Nassau Bay, you’ll wake up facing the legendary Cape Horn, one of the... see+ most iconic capes on the planet. Battered by the winds and waves of the Southern Ocean, this rocky promontory marks the meeting point of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Weather permitting, you’ll board a Zodiac to reach this isolated island. Few travelers have the privilege of setting foot on this iconic land, which has long represented one of the greatest challenges in sailing.
Back on board, the ship sets course for Antarctica, crossing the famous Drake Passage, named in honor of the English explorer Francis Drake. This crossing marks the entry into the high southern latitudes, where albatrosses and other seabirds often accompany the ship.
Through a series of lectures and deck observations, the expedition team prepares you for your discovery of the white continent, while excitement builds as you approach Antarctica.

Drake Passage King George Island
Your journey continues through the legendary Drake Passage toward King George Island, the largest... see+ island in the South Shetland Islands archipelago and the gateway to the Antarctic continent.
Throughout the crossing, take part in a lecture series led by the expedition team. These presentations will help you learn more about Antarctica’s wildlife, landscapes, the history of polar exploration, and its unique ecosystems.
From the panoramic lounges or the outdoor decks, keep an eye out for the wildlife accompanying the ship. You’ll be able to observe majestic seabirds, such as albatrosses and petrels, gliding above the waves, as well as various species of whales heading toward the rich waters of the Southern Ocean.
This day at sea serves as the perfect transition before your first encounter with the magnificent landscapes and exceptional wildlife of the White Continent.

King George Island Antarctic Convergence
After crossing the Antarctic Convergence—a true natural boundary between temperate and polar... see+ waters—the landscape gradually changes. The first icebergs appear on the horizon, soon followed by the spectacular coastline of the Antarctic continent.
As we approach the South Shetland Islands, the ship navigates through bays dotted with floating ice, in an environment teeming with wildlife. Seabirds, penguins, seals, and whales accompany our arrival in one of the planet’s last great wilderness areas.
You’ll then board a Zodiac for your first shore excursion. This excursion takes you to a penguin colony, offering a unique encounter with these iconic inhabitants of Antarctica, while respecting their natural environment.
Thanks to the long days in the Southern Hemisphere, explorations can continue late into the evening, allowing you to fully enjoy the exceptional light that bathes the glacial landscapes and snow-capped mountains of the white continent.

Antarctic Convergence Punta Arenas
Your expedition concludes on King George Island, where you’ll disembark at Fildes Bay. A ground... see+ transfer will then take you to the island’s airport, passing near the Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva base—Chile’s main base in Antarctica—as well as the Bellingshausen Station, operated by Russia.
It’s then time to say goodbye to the White Continent before boarding your return flight to Punta Arenas. From the air, enjoy one last view of Antarctica’s glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and frozen expanses.
Upon arrival in Punta Arenas, a transfer will be arranged to your hotel for the night. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy: you can explore the city at your own pace and choose where to have dinner.
