On arrival in Buenos Aires, in this cosmopolitan city known for its architecture and rich European... see+ heritage, you will make your own way to the hotel reserved for the group. A presentation room will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. for weighing and tagging luggage. Our representative will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and provide information on the following day's flight and boarding.

Buenos Aires Ushuaia Beagle Channel
After an early breakfast at the hotel, the group will head to the airport to board our private... see+ charter flight to Ushuaïa, Argentina. On arrival, you'll be transferred from the airport to the city center, where you'll have free time to explore this picturesque port city before heading to the pier. When the ship sails in the late afternoon, you'll begin your journey to Antarctica, passing through the historic Beagle Channel. Named after the famous ship on which Charles Darwin travelled, the canal offers great vistas for photographing landscapes and seabirds. Finally, the canal opens onto the Southern Ocean, allowing you to continue your journey to Antarctica.

Each day, you'll take Zodiac excursions from the ship to explore local bays, channels and landing... see+ sites. With wildlife always at the forefront of our activities, you'll encounter colonies of penguins, humpback whales and minke whales, and spot a number of seal species that frequent Antarctic waters, including the wily leopard seal. Your expedition team will be on hand every time you come ashore, whether to explore Antarctic territory or to approach penguin colonies. There are chinstrap penguins, Adélie penguins and rockhopper penguins, as well as five different species of seal. Zodiac cruises allow you to get up close and personal with some of the region's largest marine mammals, such as minke whales and Antarctic humpback whales. Days 5 to 7 are ideal for helicopter tours.
