Vienne Budapest
In the morning, optional excursion: Vienna and its Christmas market. During this panoramic tour,... see+ you'll discover the famous boulevard known as "the Ring". More than 150 years in the making, it embodies beauty like a necklace adorning the center of Vienna. You'll see the exceptional pearls built during the historicist era between 1830 and 1890: the opera house, the Museum of Fine Arts, palaces and the Votive Church. All these different buildings give the city a unique atmosphere, and "the Ring" is arguably the most beautiful boulevard in the world. At Christmas, Vienna's most beautiful squares are transformed into enchanting Christmas markets. The smell of Christmas shortbread, hot punch and roasted almonds wafts through the air. The old town and shopping streets are decked out in festive costumes, and the spirit of Christmas hangs over the city. You'll return to the town hall square for some free time at the Christmas market.

Return on board and afternoon sailing to Budapest. Evening dance on board.

Budapest
Morning optional excursion: Budapest and its Christmas market. Budapest reveals its splendour... see+ around the Danube. The architecture designed by man century after century has given rise to Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings. Take a panoramic tour between the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest. You'll then follow the river to admire the Parliament building overlooking the Danube. Budapest lights up in the run-up to Christmas and invites you to discover its wintry face at one of the Christmas and Advent markets. In a festive, friendly atmosphere, Vörösmarty Square is decked out in a thousand lights, offering you the very best in Hungarian handicrafts. Don't miss the magnificent Advent calendar created on the façade of Café Gerbeaud. Return on board.

Free afternoon in Budapest. Discover the city and its Christmas markets at your own pace. In the cold of winter, warm up with a glass of mulled wine, puncs or pálinka (local brandy), sample traditional pastries such as kürt's kalács (chimney cake) or Bejgli (rolled poppy seed or walnut cake).

Return on board and overnight sail to Bratislava.

Budapest Bratislava
Morning sailing. We pass the Gab'íkovo dam, one of the largest on the Danube. You'll sail along... see+ the protected Dunajské luhy landscape park, a marshland that is a crucial environment for rare bird species, one of the most important nesting areas and an exceptional ornithological territory stretching right up to the gates of Bratislava.
Optional excursion: Bratislava and its Christmas market. A panoramic tour will take you up to Bratislava Castle, from where you'll enjoy a magnificent view of the Danube and the city. Then a walking tour of the old town. You'll stroll along Michalská Street, one of Bratislava's oldest and most famous streets. Most of the houses, once merchant houses, are in the Renaissance style. The impressive Michel Gate, symbol of Bratislava, is the only one of the four gates of the city walls to have been preserved. You'll also see the primatial palace with its neoclassical facade. The most impressive building is the old town hall with its large tower. The square is a meeting point for the town's inhabitants, who come here in summer to cool off. In winter, it's home to the Christmas market, where you can enjoy a stroll under the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread. You can stroll between the small chalets selling Slovak handicrafts such as pottery and blown glass, as well as local produce.
