They were designed to protect the Republic of Ragusa, a powerful maritime city-state, from foreign invasion. You'll... see+ discover these famous ramparts, which stretch for 2 kilometers and surround the old town with imposing towers, bastions and forts, such as the Minceta fortress. On this guided walk, you'll enjoy spectacular views at every turn and discover several bastions and towers. The tour ends at the Buza Bar, one of Dubrovnik's best-kept secrets. To get there, you have to pass through a small opening in the wall near the church of Saint Ignatius.
