Begin your Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan by boarding a dahabieh, an elegant traditional boat... see+ that offers an intimate and authentic way to explore the Nile.
Your journey begins with a visit to the Temple of Karnak, the largest religious complex in ancient Egypt, dedicated to Amun-Re. Stroll among its immense columns and admire its finely carved hieroglyphs.
Next, continue with a tour of Luxor Temple, an iconic site where grand celebrations once took place. One of its original obelisks still stands on the site, while the other was gifted to Paris.
After this day full of discoveries, return to your dahabieh for a freshly prepared dinner.

Luxor Edfou
Wake up to a breakfast with a view on the sun deck as your dahabieh continues its journey down the... see+ Nile. Then cross over to the west bank of Luxor to explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. The richly decorated burial chambers recount beliefs about the afterlife through stunning murals.
Continue with a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to the most powerful female ruler of ancient Egypt. Before returning to the boat, stop in front of the impressive Colossi of Memnon, monumental remnants of a lost temple.

Continue the journey to Gebel Silsileh, an ancient quarry from which the stones for Egypt’s... see+ greatest temples were extracted. Visit the rock-cut temple of Horemheb, then sail to Kom Ombo, a fascinating double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon god. Nearby, visit the Crocodile Museum, where mummified crocodiles bear witness to their sacred role in ancient Egypt.
In the afternoon, relax at Herdiab Beach, a peaceful spot along the Nile, ideal for swimming and resting. In the evening, sail toward Aswan.

Dahabiehs are traditional sailing boats that navigate primarily under sail. When wind conditions do not permit it, or on certain stretches of the Nile, the boat may be towed at a distance (approximately 30 m) by a small tugboat, as dahabiehs do not have engines
