Upon awakening, breakfast is served on board before setting off on the Nile crossing to the Theban... see+ Necropolis. The tour begins in the mythical Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom had their tombs dug into the rock to prevent looting. Two royal tombs as well as that of a queen will be explored, revealing the secrets of this majestic necropolis. Next, a stop at the impressive Colossi of Memnon, the imposing remains of the funerary temple of Amenophis III, which have fascinated visitors since Antiquity.
As an option, the ‘Excursion 1 Pack’ includes a visit to the temple of Medinet Habu, a masterpiece of the Ramesside era erected by Ramses III, as well as a mini-cruise by felucca to the Kitchener Garden and a visit to Luxor Temple.
Back on board, lunch is served as the cruise continues towards Esna. The afternoon is devoted to sailing, with time to relax on deck. In the evening, a convivial dinner is served before a peaceful night on board.

Esna Edfou Kom Ombo
The day begins with breakfast on board, followed by a relaxing sail to Edfu. Passengers enjoy the... see+ comfort of the boat and the scenery as it slowly unfolds along the banks of the Nile.
At lunchtime, a meal is served on board before setting off to discover the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, one of the best preserved in ancient Egypt. Built in 237 BC under Ptolemy III and completed under Ptolemy XII, this temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Passing through the great pylon decorated with impressive reliefs, visitors enter a vast courtyard where the walls recount the rites performed by the king. Two majestic black granite falcons, symbols of Horus, stand guard at the entrance to the sanctuary.
After this fascinating visit, the cruise continues towards Kom Ombo. In the evening, dinner is served on board before a peaceful night on board.

Kom Ombo Assouan
The day begins with breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo, a... see+ unique site in ancient Egypt. Situated on a hill overlooking the Nile, this exceptional temple is dedicated to two deities: Haroeris, a form of Horus, and Sobek, the crocodile god. This duality is reflected in its architecture, with two entrances, two sanctuaries and perfect symmetry between the rooms and corridors. On the esplanade, the sculpted columns still reveal their original colours, while to the right of the entrance, the chapel of Hathor houses crocodile mummies, witnesses to the cult of Sobek.
After this immersion in history, the cruise continues to Aswan, the capital of Nubia. Lunch is served on board before setting off to discover the temple of Philae, nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Nile’. Dedicated to Isis, this Ptolemaic temple was saved from the waters by UNESCO and rebuilt stone by stone on the island of Agilka. Its Naos, once housing the statue of the goddess, is one of the most precious remains on the site.
The day ends with a visit to the Papyrus Institute, where you can discover the ancient art of making this emblematic writing medium of ancient Egypt. Back on board, dinner is served before a peaceful night on board.

The day begins with breakfast on board, followed by a free morning to enjoy the comfort of the boat... see+ and admire the peaceful landscapes of the Nile.
An exceptional excursion to Abu Simbel is available as an optional extra. Situated 260 km south of Aswan, this impressive site is home to the Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to Amun-Ra, as well as the Temple of Hathor, built in honour of Queen Nefertari. Saved from the waters by UNESCO in 1969, these colossal temples, carved right into the cliffs, bear witness to the grandeur of the New Kingdom.
Back on board, lunch is served before a free afternoon to relax on deck or explore the surrounding area.
As an option, ‘Excursion Pack 1’ offers a mini-cruise in a felucca to discover the left bank of the Nile and the magnificent Kitchener and Elephantine Islands. On Kitchener Island, visitors explore a splendid botanical garden where royal palms, sycamores and ebony trees attract a variety of wildlife. This moment of navigation, lulled by the Nile breeze, offers a soothing and immersive experience.

Esna Luxor
After breakfast on board, return to Luxor, the ancient Thebes, nicknamed ‘the city of a hundred... see+ gates’. Capital of Upper Egypt during the 18th Dynasty, it was the major religious and political centre of the Pharaonic Empire.
For those who have chosen the optional excursion pack 1, the morning begins with a visit to Luxor Temple. Built under Amenhetep III and Ramses II, it was at the heart of the annual celebrations in honour of Amun-Ra and his wife Mut. The divine procession left Karnak for Luxor, majestically skirting the banks of the Nile. Two monumental obelisks adorned its entrance, one of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.
Lunch is served on board, followed in the afternoon by a visit to the temple of Karnak, a grandiose sanctuary dedicated to Amun-Ra. This site, built over more than 2,000 years, is one of the most impressive in ancient Egypt. From Sethi I to Ramses III, the most powerful pharaohs contributed to its construction. Its name, Karnak, which means fortress, bears witness to its grandeur down the centuries.
Back on the boat, enjoy some free time to relax before dinner and overnight on board. An optional Sound and Light show at Karnak temple brings to life the legends and splendour of Egyptian civilisation in an immersive and captivating setting.
