El Hegz Edfou Fawaza Sarag Island El Ramady Bassaw
Enjoy another leisurely breakfast on the river while sailing to Edfu, where your tour guide will... see+ accompany you on an excursion to visit the ancient Greco-Roman Temple of Horus, also known as the Edfu Temple. This is the best-preserved temple in Egypt, thanks to the fact that it was buried beneath the desert sand for about 2,000 years before being rediscovered and excavated.
After the tour, continue sailing, passing by islands where you can watch children playing by the Nile, as well as buffaloes and donkeys walking along the riverbanks. Enjoy lunch as you sail towards the small island village of Bassaw. This community of 500 inhabitants grows its own food, such as mangoes, bananas, and dates, and relies on fishing for a living. Isolated from surrounding areas, Bassaw seems frozen in time.
Upon arrival, visit Bassaw Village. We will be welcomed into a local farmer’s home, where we will have the opportunity to ask questions, particularly about the education of girls living on the island. (Perhaps a chance to bake our local sun bread for dinner.)
Enjoy dinner on the island, followed by an Egyptian night of fun with folkloric presentations by the crew.

Bassaw Beshir Maniha Kom Ombo Herdiab Assouan
Enjoy breakfast aboard the Dahabeya while sailing towards more islands, such as Bashier and Maliha,... see+ before arriving at Kom Ombo, where you can enjoy the wonderful views along the Nile.
Upon arrival at Kom Ombo Temple, your guide will take you to see the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple is one of the most unique and intriguing ancient temples because it was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek and Haeroris. To accommodate this, the builders had to construct two of everything, resulting in a complex that is essentially two temples in one.
Continue sailing to Aswan, passing by Herdiab Island.
After lunch, in the afternoon, we begin our tour in Aswan, starting with the great and magnificent ancient Temple of Philae. The Temple of Philae, located on the island of Agilka, is one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in Egypt. It was entirely relocated from its original location to its current position on higher ground. This move was necessary to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1977.
On our way back to our Dahabeya, we have the opportunity to stop by the Aswan Souk (market), where you can practice your bargaining skills, visit the spice market, and try the famous sugarcane juice.
