As we glide gently along the Nile, we enjoy breakfast. We berth at Edfu and take a delightful... see+ horse-drawn carriage ride through the bustling village to the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s largest and best-preserved monuments (alternative transportation available upon request). Two magnificent granite statues of the falcon god Horus flank the entrance. We then continue our day’s cruise, discovering along the way the simple lives of farmers and fishermen, the picturesque and magical scenery along the Nile, and the lush, fertile landscapes with their sugarcane fields, guava trees, banana trees, and date palms. Shortly before sunset, we drop anchor close to Gebel Silsela, where we enjoy dinner in an atmospheric setting.

Gebel Silsileh Kom Ombo
After breakfast we go at shore to discover the old Pharaonic quarries of Silsela with the unknown... see+ rock cut temple of Hormoheb. From the top of the mountain we enjoy a breathtaking view. Continuation of our relaxing sailing day. Closed to KomOmbo we stay at the edge of Maniha Island for overnight.

Kom Ombo Daraw Assouan
After breakfast we sail on to Kom Ombo where we explore the exceptional beautiful temple of... see+ Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and Sobek (Crocodile God). The temple was built with two symmetric entrances, halls and sanctuaries; it is the only double temple all over of Egypt. Proceed to Daraw city, the most amazing and attractive part of this town is the unbelievable Camel Market in the south of Kom Ombo we may see more 02,000 camels brought to participate in the great selling show. The rest of the day is dedicated to sailing till near Aswan.

Today we explore the famous city, visiting the unfinished obelisk in the Pharaonic quarries, and... see+ then crossing the original barrage over the first cataract and moving to the High Dam where we have great views to the Lake Nasser and the Nile river below. A further highlight will be the motorboat ride to the romantic temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, Sailing towards Luxor.

Dahabiehs are traditional sailing boats that navigate primarily under sail. When wind conditions do not permit it, or on certain stretches of the Nile, the boat may be towed at a distance (approximately 30 m) by a small tugboat, as dahabiehs do not have engines
