Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be welcomed by our local partner and transferred to your hotel for... see+ one night (included). Take advantage of this first day to rest after your journey or explore the surroundings at your leisure. The transfer from the airport is organized for you, making it easy to settle in. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided, allowing you to discover local flavors as soon as you arrive.

This day is dedicated to discovering the historical treasures of Cairo. On the agenda: a visit to... see+ the Giza Plateau, where you will admire the famous pyramids and the Sphinx, as well as an exploration of the Saqqara Plateau, known for its funerary monuments and step pyramid. These iconic sites will immerse you in the heart of ancient Egypt. You will spend a second night at the hotel, preparing for your departure to Luxor the next day.

Breakfast at the hotel. You will head to the New Cairo Museum, which houses the world's largest... see+ collection of antiquities from the Pharaonic period. Lunch. Then stroll through the Old Cairo district and visit the Hanging Church and the ancient synagogue of Cairo, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, said to have been built where the daughter of Pharaoh took in the young Moses after he was placed in a basket on the Nile by his mother. Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Our representative will meet you at Luxor airport. Transfer to the boat and dinner on board.

Depart from Luxor and let yourself be carried by the peaceful waters of the Nile towards Esna... see+ aboard your dahabiya. Admire the picturesque landscapes of palm-lined banks and traditional villages. Passing through the Esna lock is a unique moment, where you will meet the warm smiles of the locals. Disembark to explore the city's lively market, where spices, fruits, and traditional crafts offer an immersion into Egyptian life. Then, visit the small Temple of Khnum, a hidden treasure nestled among the town’s old houses, dedicated to the ram-headed creator god. Admire its ceiling adorned with celestial frescoes, whose colors remain intact. Back on board, relax with dinner while watching the sunset over the Nile, before a peaceful night rocked by the river.

Breakfast while cruising. Arrival in Edfu, 15-minute horse-drawn carriage ride to the temple... see+ entrance (other transportation options available upon request). Tour of the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Lunch and afternoon cruise. Arrival at Bassaw Island, walk around the island (1.5 hours). Visit to a beautiful Egyptian village and interaction with the locals. Campfire dinner and evening entertainment on the riverbank with the villagers. Overnight on the side of the boat.

Breakfast on board, then set off on foot to explore Gebel el Silsila and its quarry, the largest... see+ sandstone quarry of the Pharaonic era. Discover numerous inscriptions, stelae, and decorated tombs, and visit the small rock-cut temple of Pharaoh Horemheb. Return on board for lunch and sail towards Kom Ombo. Arriving at the Temple of Kom Ombo just before the large cruise ships, you will have the rare privilege of exploring this beautiful temple almost alone. It is dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. End your visit at the fascinating Crocodile Mummy Museum. A short sail to Daraw for the night. This trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility
Dahabiehs are traditional sailing boats that navigate primarily under sail. When wind conditions do not permit it, or on certain stretches of the Nile, the boat may be towed at a distance (approximately 30 m) by a small tugboat, as dahabiehs do not have engines
