Explore the iconic Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s first monumental stone building. Continue to the Pyramid of Titi, known for its pyramid texts, and explore the Nobles' tombs, richly decorated with scenes of daily life. Next, head south to Dahshur, where pyramid architecture took dramatic new shapes. Visit the fascinating Bent Pyramid, with its unique angles, and the Red Pyramid, considered the first true smooth-sided pyramid and predecessor to those at Giza. Pause for lunch at a local restaurant in Saqqara, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal—typically a delicious mix grill with kofta, kebab, and a variety of small appetizer dishes. In the afternoon, arrive at the legendary Giza Plateau. Stand in awe before the Great Pyramid of Khufu, gaze up at the Sphinx, and visit the pyramids of Khafre (Khara) and Menkaure. After a flight of around an hour from Cairo, you will arrive in Luxor for a day rich in... see+ discoveries. Luxor Esna El Hegz
After a delicious breakfast, departure from the hotel to visit the majestic temples of Karnak and... see+ Luxor, a true journey through Pharaonic history. The visit lasts around 3 to 4 hours, before heading off to Esna, an hour from Luxor, to join the dahabieh. In Esna, discover the Temple of Esna, the restored caravanserai and the local market. Assouan Cairo
After breakfast on board, disembark the dahabieh. For those who wish, departure for an excursion to... see+ the monumental temples of Abu Simbel, nestling in the heart of the desert (8 to 9 hours round trip, with a stop at the Aswan High Dam).
After lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the Nile at Aswan to admire Elephantine Island, the mausoleum of the Agha Khan, the Nile cataracts and the tombs of the Nobles (duration: 2 hours).
At the end of the day, transfer to Aswan airport and return flight to Cairo. Welcome on arrival and transfer to your hotel.

For lunch, try a typical dish at Abo Tarek's, famous for its koshari, a tasty mixture of rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas, fried onions and tomato sauce. In the afternoon, take a stroll through Cairo city centre, including Tahrir Square, the site of the Egyptian revolution. You will then visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, before immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Rue El Moez, a jewel of medieval Islamic architecture. At the end of the day, take a stroll through the famous Khan El Khalili souk to pick up a few last souvenirs. A full day (9 to 10 hours) to round off this journey through history, culture and local life.
