Breakfast on board, followed by the start of visits to the southern part of ancient Thebes, where... see+ the temples of Karnak and Luxor are located. The two temples are connected by a dromos, a long avenue lined with sphinxes, and are dedicated to Amon. The three-enclosure temple of Karnak is part of the Karnak religious complex, a group that includes the ruins of other temples, buildings, and pylons. Its construction and subsequent modifications spanned over 2000 years. The Luxor temple, built in the 14th century BC during the reign of Amenhotep III, was later modified by Ramses II, who added six monumental statues and two obelisks. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board. In the evening, optional sound and light show at the Karnak temple.

Luxor Esna
Breakfast, followed by a visit to the Theban necropolis on the West Bank of the Nile, including the... see+ Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, where the tombs of many pharaohs from the New Kingdom, as well as their families and favored nobles, are located. The visits continue with the Colossi of Memnon, the last remnants of the temple of Amenhotep III, and Deir el Bahari, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Carved into the rock in the Theban mountain, this three-tiered temple built in -1455 is both harmonious and modern. Although dedicated to the god Amon, it also contains chapels for Anubis and Hathor, the goddess who protects women. This is not surprising, since Hatshepsut, one of the four female pharaohs to have ruled Egypt, is considered "the first great woman whose name history has preserved." After the visits, return to the boat for lunch and sail towards Esna. The passage through the lock will take place at the end of the day, followed by a themed "Galabia Party" with dinner and overnight on board.

Esna Edfou Kom Ombo
After breakfast on board, the cruise continues to Edfu. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a horse-drawn... see+ carriage ride to the Temple of Edfu, located further inland (alternative transportation is available upon request). This temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus is both the largest temple of the Ptolemaic dynasty and the second-largest sanctuary in Egypt after Karnak. Inside, the intact paintings, inscriptions, and reliefs make it the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Return to the boat and sail upriver toward Kom Ombo. Visit to the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Built on a hill by three Ptolemies, the temple is surrounded by a perimeter wall covered with reliefs. Inside, the space is divided into two parts: the northern section dedicated to Haroeris, the falcon-headed god, and the southern section to Sobek, the crocodile god. Return to the boat and sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.

Breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the unfinished obelisk. The region of Aswan provided the... see+ stone blocks for the pyramids, statues, and colossi built by the pharaohs. In the granite quarry, you will find the largest known obelisk to this day (41.75m). Continue with a visit to the High Dam and the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Started by Pharaoh Nectanebo I during the 30th dynasty and completed by the Romans, it is the main sanctuary dedicated to Isis. After the visits, take a felucca ride around Elephantine Island, which once served as a fortress, to explore the local shops. Dinner and overnight on board. In the evening, an optional sound and light show at the Temple of Philae.

After lunch in a typical restaurant, you will enter the world of "Absolute Grandeur": the Giza Plateau, the symbol of Ancient Egypt, with its pyramids: Khufu, the largest of the pyramids and the last of the 7 wonders of the world, Khafre and its pink granite temple, and Menkaure, surrounded by the pyramids of the queens, all guarded by the famous Great Sphinx of Giza, the largest monolithic sculpture in the world. Optionally, you can add a day trip to Cairo to your program, departing after breakfast at the hotel, to visit the city's oldest mosque, Ibn Toulon, the Gayer Anderson Art Museum, lunch in a typical restaurant, then a visit to the Hanging Church, followed by the Museum of Civilization, which houses the royal mummies. After the visits, return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay. Or, if you wish, you can opt for an excursion to the wonderful city of Alexandria (230 km - 2.5 hours by road). After breakfast at the hotel, departure by coach to this city on the Mediterranean coast, where you will enjoy the following visits: The Catacombs of Kom El Choqafa: carved out of the rock in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, there are more than 300 tombs spread over three levels.

Pompey's Pillar, a monolithic column of red Aswan granite located in Alexandria's archaeological park. The Fort of Quait Bey: a fortified castle built on the site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which collapsed in the 14th century. Visit to the Great Library: founded in the early 3rd century BC, it became the largest universal library and housed more than 700,000 works. Visit to the Archaeological Museum of the Library. Lunch during the visit. In the evening, return to Cairo. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Unfinished obelisk
The Unfinished Obelisk of Aswan is an impressive remnant located in an ancient granite quarry in Upper Egypt. Commissioned during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, it was intended to be the largest obelisk ever constructed, reaching about 42 meters in height and... see+ weighing an estimated 1,200 tons. However, a crack that appeared during the carving process halted the work, leaving the monument incomplete and still attached to the bedrock.
Today, the site provides a unique insight into the working methods of ancient Egyptian stonecutters. Visitors can observe extraction techniques, tool marks, and the monumental logistics involved in creating such structures.
