Authentic : guided tour of Frankfurt. Departure for a... see+ panoramic tour of the city by coach. Frankfurt am Main, the metropolis at the heart of Europe, is considered Germany's financial capital. Its gigantic skyscrapers house the headquarters of numerous banks, which is why it is sometimes nicknamed "Bankfurt". Frankfurt is also home to the European Central Bank. We continue with a walking tour of the old town. You'll pass by the Imperial Cathedral (exterior) and discover the heart of Frankfurt's old town and the Römerberg, whose history goes back to the time of the Hohenstaufen.

Experience : panoramic tour of Frankfurt and climb to the Main Tower. During a panoramic tour, you'll admire the gigantic skyscrapers that house the headquarters of numerous banks and form the city's famous profile, the Skyline, rising into an azure sky. You'll have the chance to climb the Main Tower, the city's best-known skyscraper, made entirely of glass after the American model. It's these slender buildings that give Frankfurt its nickname of "Mainhattan". From the 200m-high viewing platform, you'll have a breathtaking view of the city.

Authentic : guided... see+ tour of Cochem Castle. Transfer to Cochem Castle by minibus. The Reichsburg dominates the Moselle in all its splendor. Guided tour of this magnificent castle dating from the year 1000. Destroyed in the 17th century, it was completely rebuilt in neo-Gothic style according to old plans. It features graceful turrets topped with bell towers. After your visit to the castle, enjoy some free time in the town. As you wind your way through the narrow, winding streets, you'll come across half-timbered houses with slate roofs and the town hall square, steeped in history.

Experience : panoramic hike around Cochem. Set off on foot along the Moselle before crossing the bridge to explore Cochem's old town through its picturesque alleyways. Admire the charming half-timbered houses, St. Martin's church, the Capuchin convent and the market square. On the way out of town, in the midst of peaceful countryside and forest, the path takes you up to the castle overlooking the town, from where you can appreciate the magnificent panorama of Cochem and the Moselle. On the way down, pass by the "Tummelchen" with its view of the castle, then return via the upper town.

Morning sailing to Rüdesheim in the beautiful valley of the Romantic Rhine. With its castles,... see+ historic towns, vineyards and the famous Loreley Rock, the sublime landscape, deeply linked to history and legend, has inspired many writers, painters and composers. Arrival in Rüdesheim in the early afternoon. Optional excursions:

Authentic : Little train, wine tasting and museum of mechanical music in Rüdesheim. Departure by tourist train for a guided tour of the Rüdesheim vineyards. Wine tasting in the historic cellars of the Bassenheimer Hof, a 16th-century stately home. Then on to the Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett museum, housed in a historic 15th-century building. It houses an impressive collection of mechanical musical instruments, one of the largest and most beautiful collections from the 18th to the 20th centuries.

Experience : Hiking in the Rüdesheim vineyards. You'll arrive in the center of Rüdesheim, where the gondolas depart for the Niederwald monument. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the town, vineyards and Rhine. Continue with a hike through the vineyards to St Hildegarde Abbey, built between 1900 and 1904. Free visit of the abbey, then walk back to the boat through the vineyards.

Meet your guides at Heidelberg Castle, where you'll discover the exterior of this magnificent, partly ruined pink sandstone castle. Since the end of the 18th century, the castle ruins have inspired painters and poets, who saw them as a symbol of the greatness and decadence of human endeavors. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland and Eichendorff celebrated the castle landscape, while many painters chose it as their motif. Discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate Garden, the "Hortus Palatinus", once considered the "eighth wonder of the world". Your guides will take you on a tour of the old town. Admire the exterior of the Church of the Holy Spirit, built between 1398 and 1441 and the burial place of the Prince Electors.

Frankfurt guided tour
The excursion to Frankfurt will begin with a panoramic bus tour of the city. Frankfurt am Main, the metropolis at the heart of Europe, captivates visitors with its clever blend of tradition and modernity, commerce and culture, activity and relaxation.... see+ Cosmopolitan Frankfurt owes its global status to its international trade fairs—such as the International Motor Show and the Book Fair—as well as to its business and cultural life and its prime geographical location. It is also considered Germany’s financial capital, as its towering skyscrapers house the headquarters of numerous banks—which is why it is sometimes nicknamed “Bankfurt” or “Main hattan.” You’ll continue your tour of the old town on foot. You’ll pass by the Imperial Cathedral (exterior), which towers over the city center from the top of its 95-meter-high spire. You’ll also explore the heart of Frankfurt’s old town and the Römerberg, whose history dates back to the Hohenstaufen era. Originally, this square was simply called Berg (Mountain) or Samstagsberg (Saturday Mountain). The Römerberg has borne its current name since the 15th century, when the city council purchased the houses surrounding the square to build a new city hall. Cochem panoramic walk
Set off by foot along the Moselle before crossing the deck to explore the old town of Cochem through its picturesque narrow streets. You can admire the charming half-timbered houses, St. Martin's Church, the Capuchin monastery, and the market square. Leaving... see+ the town behind, you will find yourself surrounded by peaceful nature and forest. The path will lead you to the castle overlooking the town, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Cochem and the Moselle. On the way down, you will pass by the "Tummelchen," which offers a view of the castle, before returning to the upper town. NOTES The order of visits may be changed. Times are given as a guide only.

Guided tour of Cochem Castle
Transfer to Cochem Castle by minibus in groups of about 30 passengers. The Reichsburg stands on a remarkable site—a vineyard-covered hill overlooking the Moselle. Guided tour of this magnificent castle dating back to the year 1000, which was destroyed by... see+ French troops in the 17th century and completely rebuilt according to original plans in a Neo-Gothic style. It is distinguished by its graceful turrets topped with spires. It is one of the few German castles that, having been rebuilt after their destruction, still retain their original appearance today. After the castle tour, you’ll have somefree time to explore the town. The town of Cochem is well worth a visit, whether for its narrow, winding streets, its half-timbered houses with carefully restored slate roofs, the town hall square steeped in history, or its ancient walls, gates, and churches. Mini-train ride, wine tasting and visit to the Mechanical Music Museum in Rüdesheim
You’ll begin the tour with a guided tour of the Rüdesheim vineyards aboard a small train, during which you’ll discover the famous vineyards that were already cultivated by the Romans. During this tour, you’ll learn about the history of winemaking in... see+ the region and enjoy breathtaking views of Rüdesheim and the Rhine. The little train will then stop right in front of the historic Bassenheimer Hof winery, a 16th-century manor house, where you’ll take part in a wine tasting*. A winemaker from the Störzel family winery will guide you through a tasting of three wines—ranging from the driest to the sweetest—while sharing the history of the winery and viticulture in the Rüdesheim region, along with a few local anecdotes. After the tasting, you’ll head to the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, located 100 meters from the winery. The “Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett” is Germany’s first museum dedicated to mechanical musical instruments. From delicate music boxes to the colossal concert-piano orchestrions, no fewer than 350 automatic instruments are gathered here to form one of the largest and most beautiful collections from the 18th to the 20th century, displayed across more than 400 m². Visitors can also admire the tools and machines used to manufacture organ cylinders, music charts, note rollers, and music box plates. Regardless of their age, museum visitors always take great pleasure in discovering this unique music, the techniques of yesteryear, and how these instruments work. You will reach the center of Rudesheim, a departure point for the cable cars that will take you to the Niederwald monument. Meet your guides at Heidelberg Castle, where they will show you... see+ around the exterior of this magnificent pink sandstone castle, now partially in ruins. Since the end of the 18th century, the castle ruins have inspired painters and poets, who saw them as a symbol of the grandeur and decadence of human works. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff celebrated the castle's landscape, while many painters chose it as their motif. Don't miss the barrel in the courtyard. It is one of the largest wooden barrels in the world and was once filled with wine. On the opposite wall, there is a pedestal with a statue representing the dwarf Perkeo. This hard-drinking South Tyrolean served as court jester and guardian of the barrel under Charles III Philip of the Palatinate (1716-1742). Discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate garden, the "Hortus Palatinus," once considered the "eighth wonder of the world." The garden's architect, Salomon de Caus, wanted to celebrate harmony with the city, the river, and the surrounding hills. Transfer by coach to Neckarmünzplatz, an important square in the historic center of Heidelberg, located directly on the side of the boat of the Neckar River, below the castle. You will continue with your guides on a tour of the old town. You will admire the Church of the Holy Spirit (exterior), built between 1398 and 1441, the burial place of the prince-electors, whose naves housed the "Bibliotheca Palatina" until 1623. You will also have free time to do some shopping on Germany's longest shopping street.
