The capital of the Côte d'Azur, Nice is... see+ surrounded by an amphitheater of hills and mountains that protect it from the wind. You'll probably be looking forward to seeing the Promenade des Anglais, where you can sit on one of the famous blue chairs facing the Bay of Angels. The hill of the château also offers a very pleasant setting for a stroll. It's also the gateway to the old town, with its lively regional produce markets on the Cours Saleya.

A link between the mountains of Haute Corse and the Agriates desert, the fishing village has become a renowned seaside resort. In front of this jewel nestled in a remote wilderness, sublime sandy beaches line a sea of infinite turquoise hues. At the western tip of the gulf, the Tour de Mortella, built in the 16th century under the Republic of Genoa to warn off invaders, keeps watch. Like most of the towers dotting the Corsican coastline, it is an emblematic and familiar symbol of the island.

With its rich historical and cultural past, the former “imperial city” is imbued with the memory of the native son. A “presence” that you'll be able to rediscover throughout your visit: from the citadel to the imperial chapel, via the statues erected in the various squares in effigy of the emperor. As you wander through the shady lanes of the old town, you'll reach the central market in Place Foch, where you can sample one or two local specialties, such as brocciu, lonzu or the famous canistrelli.

Nestled on a rocky outcrop in north-west Corsica, the... see+ port of Calvi offers its whiteness between two sapphire-colored bays. Capital of the Balagne region, the Genoese town enjoys an exceptional natural setting, with the steep relief of the central chain, fertile hills and long sandy beaches. From the promontory of the Notre-Dame-de-la-Serra chapel, built in the 19th century on the ruins of a 15th-century sanctuary, you won't miss the sublime panorama of the seaside, the mountains and the Calvi citadel. A little further west, the Revelatta peninsula is a wilder, more unspoilt part of Corsica.
