Optional excursion: Depart by coach at dawn for a guided tour of the famous Rungis market... see+ (pre-booking required). A veritable showcase for French gastronomy, this is the world's largest fresh produce market. It comprises five gastronomic universes (fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, dairy products and flowers). After strolling the market aisles and halls, which stretch as far as the eye can see, a delicious brunch will round off your visit.

OR free morning, discover the capital at your own pace (the Eiffel Tower, Trocadero Gardens and Les Invalides are just a few minutes' walk from the boat).

Excursions included: afternoon guided tour of Père Lachaise Cemetery, one of the most famous in the world. It owes its name to François d'Aix de La Chaise, Louis XIV's confessor. It's here, in this park-like cemetery, that many celebrities are laid to rest. A stroll through the alleys will take you on a journey to meet famous people, their history, anecdotes and the sometimes astonishing cults to which they are subjected. It's also an extraordinary open-air sculpture museum, where you can admire the decor of some of the mausoleums and the diversity of the statues that enliven the grounds.

Depart for a guided tour of the Pantheon. Dominating the Latin Quarter, this majestic monument will dazzle you with its grandeur. It was built by the architect Soufflot under Louis XV to glorify the monarchy. Since the French Revolution, this former church dedicated to the patron saint of Paris has housed in its crypt a necropolis of great figures from the republic who left their mark on history, including Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, Alexandre Dumas and, more recently, Simone Veil.

Back on board and cruise Paris "by night"(2) with a magnificent cruise through the heart of the world's most prestigious capital, where CroisiEurope is the only cruise line authorized to sail. Adorned in their superb costumes of light, the most beautiful monuments of Paris follow one another along the water. A magical spectacle.
