Thanks to the work of architect Auguste Perret, the city center, with its unique architecture, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the heart of the city is Saint Joseph's Church, an imposing structure with several thousand glass blocks incorporated into it. Le Havre City Hall, with its tower over 70 meters high, is also impressive. There is no larger city hall square in Europe than in this French city.

Discover the Château d’Auvers : since 1994, the château has been listed and has been transformed into an art interpretation center. It features a discovery trail devoted to Impressionism. The modern museography is dotted with “immersive” presentations, virtual rooms and interactive animations, or you can choose from the Auberge ravoux where Van Gogh spent the last two months of his life here.

Le Havre: on the road to Le Havre and Étretat
From the ship, the discovery tour begins today in Le Havre. First, discover the city's rich past and architectural diversity. Several stops during the city tour will allow you to get a closer look at the unmissable sites (St. Joseph's Cathedral, the port,... see+ MuMa, etc.) and immortalize them with a picture. The excursion then continues to the seaside resort of Étretat, whose chalk cliffs became famous thanks to the masters of Impressionism. This unforgettable excursion to Giverny, the charming village in Normandy where Claude Monet lived and worked for over 40 years, takes you to a living masterpiece. After a short bus transfer, you’ll arrive at this idyllic location, one of the cultural highlights of any trip to Normandy. The centerpiece of the visit is the garden designed by Monet himself, which he called his “greatest masterpiece.” Particularly captivating is the Japanese-inspired water garden, with its weeping willows, bamboo groves, rhododendrons, azaleas — and the famous lily pond that inspired his world-renowned Nymphéas (Water Lilies) series.
