Departure for the tour of Heidelberg. Romantic and idyllic, cosmopolitan and dynamic, mythical and modern: Heidelberg harmoniously combines all these elements that give it its unparalleled charm. Meet your guides at Heidelberg Castle, where they will show you... see+ around the exterior of this magnificent pink sandstone castle, now partially in ruins. Since the end of the 18th century, the castle ruins have inspired painters and poets, who saw them as a symbol of the grandeur and decadence of human works. Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff celebrated the castle's landscape, while many painters chose it as their motif. Don't miss the barrel in the courtyard. It is one of the largest wooden barrels in the world and was once filled with wine. On the opposite wall, there is a pedestal with a statue representing the dwarf Perkeo. This hard-drinking South Tyrolean served as court jester and guardian of the barrel under Charles III Philip of the Palatinate (1716-1742). Discover the geometric terraces of the Palatinate garden, the "Hortus Palatinus," once considered the "eighth wonder of the world." The garden's architect, Salomon de Caus, wanted to celebrate harmony with the city, the river, and the surrounding hills. Transfer by coach to Neckarmünzplatz, an important square in the historic center of Heidelberg, located directly on the side of the boat of the Neckar River, below the castle. You will continue with your guides on a tour of the old town. You will admire the Church of the Holy Spirit (exterior), built between 1398 and 1441, the burial place of the prince-electors, whose naves housed the "Bibliotheca Palatina" until 1623. You will also have free time to do some shopping on Germany's longest shopping street. Return to the ship.NOTESDepending on the cruise, departure and/or return on the side of the boat in MannheimPlease bring good walking shoes. To access the castle, there is a slope of about 300m to climb. The order of visits may be changed.Times are given as a guide only.

You will begin the tour with a guided tour of the Rüdesheim vineyards by mini train, during which you will discover the famous vineyards that were already cultivated by the Romans. During this tour, you will learn about the history of winegrowing in the... see+ region and enjoy breathtaking views of Rüdesheim and the Rhine. The train will then stop right in front of the historic Bassenheimer Hof cellar, a 16th-century stately home, where you will take part in a wine tasting*. A winemaker from the Störzel family winery will introduce you to three wines, from the driest to the sweetest, while telling you about the history of the winery and winegrowing in the Rüdesheim region and sharing a few local anecdotes. After the tasting, you will visit the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, located 100 meters from the winery. The "Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett" is Germany's first museum dedicated to memory musical instruments. From delicate music boxes to titanic concert-piano orchestrions, no fewer than 350 automatic instruments are brought together here to form one of the largest and most beautiful collections from the 18th to the 20th century, displayed over more than 400 m². You can also admire the tools and machines used to manufacture organ cylinders, music cards and rollers, and music box plates. Regardless of their age, visitors to the museum always take great pleasure in discovering this unique music, the techniques of yesteryear, and how these instruments work. After visiting the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, you will have free time to return to the boat at your leisure or stroll through the narrow streets of Rüdesheim, walking down the famous Drosselgasse.NOTESPlease wear suitable clothing for the visit to the Bassenheimer Hof.Wear comfortable shoes, as the streets are cobbled and sloping. After the visit, passengers will have free time and will return to the boat by foot at their own pace to enjoy the town. The order of visits may be changed.Times are given as a guide only.*Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, please drink responsibly.

Departure by coach for a guided tour of the city. Amsterdam is one of the world's most extraordinary small cities. From its canals and world-famous museums to its many sights and historical treasures, Amsterdam is one of Europe's most romantic and surprising... see+ capitals. Stop at the Riecker Mill, a windmill located on the banks of the Amstel River to the south of the city. The mill was built in 1636 in the village of Sloten. Pumping of the polder water was taken over by an electric pumping station in 1932, and the mill was subsequently dismantled when the polder was dug up to create, among other things, Lake Het Nieuw Meer. In 1961, the mill was re-erected some 8 kilometers away on the banks of the Amstel, between the Kalfjeslaan and Borcht roads. The banks of the Amstel at this point are much frequented by tourists and walkers, and it's a prime location for an old Dutch windmill. A statue of Rembrandt has been erected next to the windmill as a reminder that the painter drew many pictures on the banks of this river. Then visit the famous flower market. You'll find thousands of fresh flowers, as well as bulbs of the famous tulip (with the gouda ball, probably the best idea for a souvenir gift), shrubs, plants... The countless varieties will make you dizzy. Return by coach.
