From the scenic Danube riverbanks and the famous "Malerwinkel," where landscape painters once stood with their easels, a picturesque path leads you up the "Traunergassl" to the Augustinian Abbey, including a visit to the fascinating Dürnstein Abbey — a true Baroque jewel. Melk: baroque dreams in Winter
Located high above the Danube, Melk Abbey is considered one of the most magnificent baroque ensembles in Europe. The tour begins in the Prelate's Court, whose elegant design reflects the splendor of the baroque monastery complex. You will then discover the... see+ former imperial rooms – now a museum – which offer insights into the history of the abbey and the stays of imperial guests.
A highlight is the magnificent Marble Hall with its ornate ceiling, followed by the Altane, an open terrace with spectacular views over the Danube Valley. The Abbey Library is particularly impressive with over 80,000 volumes and the monumental ceiling painting by Paul Troger. Finally, you have the opportunity to visit the baroque collegiate church individually – another architectural highlight full of ornamentation and spiritual radiance.

Vienna in Winter: City Highlights
Vienna, the capital of Austria, is a city of superlatives that delights every visitor. First, you will drive via the Urania to Schwarzenberg and Karlsplatz, past the Musikverein concert hall to the State Opera. Afterwards, you will take a leisurely walk from... see+ the famous Hofburg imperial palace to medieval Vienna. At St. Stephen’s Cathedral, you will have some free time to visit inside, enjoy a typical Viennese coffee house, or take a Fiaker carriage ride. Then stroll along the famous Kärntner Strasse back to the bus. The tour continues along the Ringstrasse, passing magnificent traditional buildings such as the Parliament, City Hall, and Burgtheater. A short photo stop rounds off the program before the bus takes you past the University and Votive Church back to the ship.

Linz: Walking Tour
Linz is the capital of the state of Upper Austria and, with approximately 207,000 inhabitants, the third-largest city in Austria after Vienna and Graz. Today, Linz is an environmentally conscious city of culture and academia, stretching along both sides of... see+ the Danube. On today’s walk, we will turn toward the nearby Old Town. Impressive facades of historic buildings captivate every visitor. There, we will also find the Old Town Hall and the Old Cathedral.
The Baroque Main Square of Linz, with an area of around 13,200 m², is one of the largest enclosed squares in Austria. In the center of the square stands the impressive Trinity Column made of white marble.
Not the tallest but the largest church in Austria is the Linz Mariendom (Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception), also called the "New Cathedral." Stroll with us through the narrow lanes of the Old Town, where we turn our attention to other pleasures after so much culture.
The guided tour ends in the center, leaving you with plenty of time to explore on your own before strolling back to the ship.

Linz in winter: excursion to Ceský Krumlov
From Linz, you will embark on a fascinating journey to the medieval town of Ceský Krumlov, also known as the "Pearl of the Bohemian Forest."
