The tour begins with the Cour des Prélats and its superb group of buildings adorned with statues and frescoes. Private concert in Melk Abbey's Kolomani Hall or at Schallaburg Castle. Lunch on board. Afternoon sailing through the exceptional landscapes of the Wachau, a steep region where the meandering Danube offers a green parade. Welcome cocktail and dinner on board. Schönbrunn Palace (half day) Visit the palace and stroll through the gardens of the "Viennese Versailles," the Habsburgs' summer residence. It houses splendid state rooms and, together with its gardens, is one of the best-preserved Baroque complexes in Europe.
Price per person: €85 in 2025 and €90 in 2026 or Vienna Art Nouveau and the Leopold Museum (half day) In the 1900s, Vienna was marked by Art Nouveau. The tour begins with a circuit passing by various monuments emblematic of this movement: the Postal Savings Bank, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Medallion House, and the Majolica House. Stop at Karlsplatz with its famous Otto Wagner subway station. Walk to the Secession, a modern exhibition building characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. Then, visit the Leopold Museum. Located in the Museums Quarter, it houses unique treasures of Viennese Art Nouveau, including the world's largest collection of works by Egon Schiele and paintings by Gustav Klimt. In the morning, continue the tour of Budapest on the Buda side. Walk through the Castle District to... see+ the Fisherman's Bastion. This bastion with seven towers celebrates the seven Hungarian tribes that founded the nation in the 9th century. Visit Matthias Church with its richly decorated interior, which houses the Loreto Chapel, where the Virgin Mary is particularly venerated. Lunch on the side of the boat. Free afternoon or disembark to take part in the optional excursion. In the early afternoon, the M/S Amadeus Silver II resumes its journey to Esztergom. Dinner on the side of the boat. Departure for the artisan village of Szentendre. With its narrow streets, old churches, and towers, remnants of a vanished fortress, it is one of the most visited places in Hungary. Walk through the village, which is full of craft shops. Continue to Visegrad. The fortress, built on a hill, offers a breathtaking view of the Danube and its valley. Then, arrival in Esztergom, former residence of the rulers of Hungary and current residence of the archbishopric. Visit the Christian Museum, one of Hungary's most important museums. Founded by Cardinal Archbishop János Simor, it displays Gothic and Renaissance paintings, as well as works by the great masters of the Italian Renaissance.
