In the morning, discover this charming medieval town on the banks of the Saar River, crossed by one... see+ of its tributaries, the Leuk, which forms a picturesque 20-metre waterfall right in the heart of the historic center. Guided tour of the heart of this former stronghold of the Dukes of Luxembourg: Little Venice, Kuno defense tower, Kauten tower, former customs tower, Saint-Laurent parish church, originally 13th-century, but rebuilt with later neo-Gothic elements. Return on board for lunch and continue sailing along the Saarschleife, the highly photogenic Saar loop. This beautiful meander forms a perfect natural loop through the rock, in a densely wooded valley. Dinner on board.

After lunch on board, we continue our journey to Grevenmacher, on the Moselle River, which forms the border between Germany and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Dinner on board.

Morning of discovery in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Departure by coach (30 km) for the capital... see+ of the Grand Duchy. Built on several levels, Luxembourg-City or D'Stad, “the city” to Luxembourgers, is one of the three seats of the European institutions and the European Union's leading financial center. Its upper town, perched on a rocky spur, and its spectacular fortifications are a World Heritage Site. Back on board for lunch, before resuming navigation. Stopover in Trier, built by the Romans on an ancient Gallic site. Extremely prosperous in Roman antiquity, Trier was once dubbed the “second Rome”, and its influence was such that in the 3rd century it became the capital of Gaul, replacing Lugdunum (Lyon). Guided tour of the city, dotted with important World Heritage monuments: the remains of the imperial baths, the monumental Porta Nigra, Germany's largest Roman gateway, and the majestic Basilica of Constantine, originally a Roman aula (covered gallery). After lunch on board, arrival in Koblenz, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. An important commercial crossroads since Roman times, Koblenz was also the residence of the powerful Archbishops of Trier until the 19th century. Guided tour: the equestrian statue of William I dominating the Deutsches Eck, the strip of land marking the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers, the Schängel fountain topped by a bronze boy spitting water at inquisitive visitors, the collegiate church of St. Castor, or the Palace of the Electors... Return on board in the late afternoon. Dinner on board.
