Optional authentic excursion/experience: visit to Melk Abbey. A masterpiece of Gothic architecture,... see+ the abbey dominates the splendid Wachau valley. The ochre color of the grandiose façade is reminiscent of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The abbey's interior also boasts magnificent Baroque frescoes and a library containing some 100,000 volumes, including some of the most precious manuscripts of the Middle Ages. Return on board and sail to Dürnstein, arriving early afternoon. Free time in this small medieval town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its architectural heritage. The village is packed with sights, including the elegant baroque bell tower of the Dürnstein church, the medieval and Renaissance facades of the town hall and the colorful houses in the main alley.
Continuation to Vienna. In the evening, optional authentic excursion/experience: visit Vienna "by night". A veritable open-air museum, you'll discover the capital in all its glory. The illuminated facades reveal all their splendor. The Musikverein takes on a whole new dimension under these illuminations, the opera house reveals its interior decor thanks to light effects, and on Schwarzenbergplatz you'll see the gilded bronze statue of Johann Strauss, as well as many other monuments, such as the Hofburg Palace and the Augustinian Church. You'll love this other side of Vienna.

Optional authentic excursion/experience: visit Schoenbrunn Palace and take a panoramic tour of... see+ Vienna. A prestigious court center in the 18th century, Schoenbrunn Palace's ochre facade is closely linked to the dual Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The splendid edifice is home to eminently refined imperial furnishings, and the spirit of the Habsburgs watches over the dazzling residence. Then take a panoramic tour of the famous boulevard known as "the Ring". You'll see the exceptional monuments built between 1830 and 1890 that give it its unique atmosphere.
Afternoon at leisure or optional excursion: Vienna carriage ride. A fun and original way to see Vienna. Let the rhythm of the horses guide you through the city, plunging you into the heart of its history.
The coachman will lead you through the narrow streets of the Austrian capital to admire the magnificent Baroque buildings that adorn certain districts.
Gala evening. Night sail to Esztergom.

Free time to explore Esztergom, the ancient Hungarian capital with its charm intact. Set on a hill,... see+ the city stretches peacefully along the banks of the Danube. The elegant Basilica, whose 177-meter-high silhouette dominates the river, and the historic center of colorful houses are just some of the unsuspected treasures to be found here. Afternoon sailing to Budapest.
In the evening, optional authentic excursion/experience: visit Budapest "by night". The lights brighten up the facades of the monuments, providing a spectacular backdrop. You'll catch a glimpse of the Parliament, where the buttresses, towers and dome are highlighted by clever lighting, the Chain Bridge with Buda Castle illuminated in the background, the Fishermen's Bastion with its seven towers paying homage to the seven tribes that founded Hungary, and a superb view of illuminated Pest.

Optional excursion common to both packages: Guided tour of Budapest. Century after century of... see+ man-made architecture has produced Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings. Panoramic tour between the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest... Then along the river to admire the Parliament building overlooking the Danube. Return to the boat.
Afternoon at leisure or optional excursions outside the package:
- Visit to the Gellert baths. With its Art Nouveau decor, artistic mosaics and sculptures, the Gellert baths are surprisingly beautiful. It's also an opportunity to take a break and enjoy a moment of relaxation. So don't forget your swimsuits, this is a unique opportunity.
- visit to the Budapest covered market Departure on foot to the Budapest covered market. With its gleaming Zsolnay tile roof, Budapest's Grand Central Market is the largest market hall built in the 19th century. You'll discover an incredible array of products, including the famous paprika garlands. A tasting of sweet local specialties will round off your visit. Return to the ship on foot.
In the evening, optional authentic excursion/experience: a folklore evening in Budapest during which you'll discover typical Gypsy dances and costumes.

In the heart... see+ of Hungary's great plain, now a nature reserve, you'll travel on horse-drawn carts across the wild steppes. You'll be treated to an equestrian show where you can admire the riders and their horses. The tour ends with a tasting of local products. Typical lunch in a traditional inn. Then on to Kecskemét, where you'll see the Art Nouveau town hall built in the 19th century, the former synagogue in Romantic style, and the Cifra palace with its yellow, orange, green and blue earthenware facades... Return on board in the afternoon.

Budapest Bratislava
Free morning in Budapest or optional authentic excursion/experience: visit Gödöllö Castle,... see+ summer residence of Empress Sissi. Nicknamed the "Hungarian Versailles", Gödöllö is the country's largest Baroque castle. In 1866, the empress used it as a hospital to visit wounded soldiers. Later, the Hungarian government offered the residence to the royal family. Queen Elisabeth "Sissi" cherished her stays at the castle, and was particularly fond of the Hungarian people.
Afternoon sailing to Bratislava. You'll pass the Gab¿íkovo dam, one of the largest on the Danube. You'll sail past the Dunajské Luhy protected landscape park, a marshland that is a crucial environment for rare bird species, one of the most important nesting areas and an exceptional ornithological territory stretching right up to the gates of Bratislava. Night sailing.

Early in the morning, you'll arrive in Bratislava. Underneath its provincial air, colorful alleys,... see+ pastel houses and Baroque architecture mingle.
Optional morning excursions:
- Authentic: guided tour of the Slovak capital. Situated at the foot of the Little Carpathians, the city is surrounded by woodland and rocky outcrops. Its castle, the city's emblem, stands on a hill above the Danube. From its forecourt, you can enjoy a unique view of the city and the river. The medieval old town is not to be outdone, with its maze of winding streets, squares, fountains and cafés. Bratislava is also known for its intense cultural and nightlife scene.
- Experience: hiking in the Little Carpathians through the Devinska Kobyla nature reserve. This Slovakian nature reserve, just a few kilometers from the capital, will take you to the ruins of Devin Castle, from where you'll enjoy an admirable view of the Danube.
Afternoon sailing along the Danube Alluvial Meadows National Park, the wildest part of the Danube, a veritable oasis between Bratislava and Vienna. Arrive in Vienna at the end of the day.
In the evening, optional authentic excursion/experience: Viennese music concert (optional and subject to availability). In a legendary Viennese venue, enjoy some of the finest works by Mozart and Strauss, and let yourself be transported to the rhythm of waltzes, polkas, arias...

In the morning, optional authentic excursion/experience: Vienna, the Capuchin Church and the... see+ National Library. The Capuchin Church was built between 1622 and 1632 in the Baroque style. It's a pretty, simple little church. Its interior is both original and surprising. Here you'll discover the tombs of members of the Austrian nobility. Some are veritable works of art, reflecting the influence of the personalities who lie in the crypt, including those of Maria Theresa of Austria, Franz Joseph I and Empress Sissi, undoubtedly the most remarkable. Then on to the National Library, whose heart is one of the most beautiful rooms in the world. Highlights include the dome, lavishly frescoed by court painter Daniel Gran, and two magnificent Venetian globes from the Baroque period. Return to the ship.
In the afternoon, optional authentic excursion/experience: visit to the Hofburg. Located in the historic heart of Vienna, the Hofburg is an astonishing sight. It exudes the sense of excess and splendor associated with imperial power. Nevertheless, it is a fascinating place for history and architecture enthusiasts. Today, the imperial apartments house the "Sissi" museum, where the seductive empress has become a cult figure adored by all.

Vienne Melk Passau
Early in the morning, drive up the most beautiful part of the Wachau. This landscape, shaped by the... see+ Danube, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Austria's oldest cultural region. The valley stretches for some 30 kilometers and is one of the most beautiful in Europe. Arrive in Melk in the early morning and free time.
In the afternoon, optional authentic excursion/experience: Artstetten Castle. Built in the 13th century, the castle was acquired by Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1823, and underwent major alterations to give it its current appearance, with its 7 bulbous towers. Part of the castle is dedicated to the museum, which provides a comprehensive account of the Archduke's life and the outbreak of the 1914 war, with a wealth of memorabilia, personal objects, photos, furniture, weapons and more. You'll also see the castle park, one of Austria's 56 historic parks. The landscaping has been carefully designed to resemble a pleasure park. Return to Ybbs and sail to Passau. Gala evening.
