Optional excursion to Osijek. The capital of Slavonia, a Croatian province, is famous for its beauty and symbolic sites. In addition to the red-brick Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, which dominates the city, Osijek boasts impressive Baroque architecture. Belgrade Passage des portes de Fer Golubac
Morning sailing to the Iron Gates, between the Carpathians and the Balkans. The most spectacular... see+ part of this gorge was nicknamed "The Boilers" by navigators because the water, squeezed between the steep mountain walls, once seemed to bubble. You'll see in turn the "Tabula Traiana", a huge marble slab reminiscent of the "imperial road", an elegant viaduct overlooking the mouth of the river and the "portrait" of Decébal, carved in stone. Early afternoon arrival in Golubac. Optional excursion: Golubac fortress. Recently opened to the public, this imposing fortress, built in the early 14th century at the entrance to the Iron Gates, is one of the country's most important defensive structures. Alternately in the hands of the Serbs and Turks, it is situated on a mountainside and features nine towers built one above the other and linked by ramparts. A little anecdote: the Golubac fortress was one of the three best locations for filming the famous "Game of Thrones" series.
Return on board and continue sailing to Novi Sad. Night sailing.

Golubac Novi Sad Ilok
Early morning arrival in Novi Sad. Optional excursion to discover Novi Sad. Considered by Serbs to... see+ be one of the most beautiful cities in the country, it boasts a vibrant pedestrianized historic heart. The Austro-Hungarian architecture of the main square rivals the beauty of 19th-century mansions. A green city, Novi Sad boasts pretty flowerbeds and tree-lined squares.
Return on board and sail to Ilok. Don't miss Pedrovaradin Castle, overlooking Novi Sad. On leaving the city, the Danube is dotted with islets all the way to Ilok. Arrive in Ilok in the afternoon. Optional visit to the medieval town. Nestled harmoniously above the Danube on the edge of Croatia, this small fortified town contains a number of treasures. In addition to Odescalchi Castle, which today houses the town museum, Ilok lives to the rhythm of the Danube, between generous nature and Slavonic food tastings.

Ilok Mohács Kalocsa
Early morning arrival in Mohacs, customs clearance. In the morning, optional excursion to Pécs.... see+ Capital of Culture in 2010, the city undertook extensive renovation work for the occasion. This radiant city has many assets. The most surprising building is undoubtedly the cathedral with its four bell towers, which Pope John Paul II declared a minor basilica in 1990. More surprising is the Paleo-Christian necropolis, an astonishing burial site dating back to the year 350, discovered by chance in 1975.
In the afternoon, optional excursion to the Puszta. In the heart of the great Hungarian plain, now a nature reserve, you'll travel on horse-drawn carts across the wild steppes. You'll be treated to an equestrian show where you can admire the riders and their horses. The tour ends with a tasting of local products. Meanwhile, the boat sails back to Kalocsa, where you'll meet up with it again. Continuation to Budapest.

In the morning, optional guided tour of Budapest. Century after century of man-made architecture... see+ has produced Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings. Take a panoramic tour between the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest... Then along the river, where you can admire the Parliament building overlooking the Danube.
Afternoon free time or optional visit to Gödöllö Castle, summer residence of Empress Sissi. Nicknamed the "Hungarian Versailles", Gödöllö is the country's largest Baroque castle. In 1866, the empress used it as a hospital to visit wounded soldiers. Later, the Hungarian government offered the residence to the royal family. Queen Elisabeth "Sissi" cherished her stays at the castle, and was particularly fond of the Hungarian people.
In the evening, optional tour of Budapest "by night". The lights brighten up the facades of the monuments, providing a spectacular backdrop. You'll catch a glimpse of the Parliament, where the buttresses, towers and dome are brought to life by clever lighting, the Chain Bridge with Buda Castle illuminated in the background, the Fishermen's Bastion with its seven towers paying homage to the seven tribes that founded Hungary, and a superb view of illuminated Pest.
