At sea - Greenland Ittoqqortoormiit
Nestled at the mouth of Scoresby Sund, Ittoqqortoormiit is renowned as Greenland's most isolated... see+ Inuit village. Accessible only a few weeks a year by sea, it offers a unique glimpse into life at the edge of the Arctic. Its colorful houses stand out against the vast, icy landscape, while the inhabitants continue to live a traditional lifestyle closely linked to hunting, fishing, and the rhythms of nature. We will visit the village: its church, its small museum, its memorials dedicated to explorers, as well as its dog sled teams, which bear witness to the daily life of local families. With its 200 or so brightly colored houses, Ittoqqortoormiit offers a rare, authentic, and deeply human encounter.

Ittoqqortoormiit Vega Sund
Part of the gigantic Scoresby Sund fjord system, Vega Sund is one of Greenland's most spectacular... see+ gems. Its steep cliffs, glaciers breaking directly into the sea, and drifting icebergs of monumental proportions create a strikingly beautiful mineral landscape. Isolated, unspoiled, and rarely visited, this fjord reveals the raw power of the Arctic. A Zodiac exploration will allow you to get as close-hauled as possible to the glacier fronts, vertiginous walls, and natural sculptures created by the ice, for a privileged immersion in one of the most untouched landscapes in the world.

Vega Sund Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord
A huge gash in Greenland's east coast, Emperor Franz Josef Fjord is one of the largest and most... see+ majestic fjords in the world. Approximately 150 kilometers long, it opens up between steep mountain ranges, colossal glaciers breaking into its deep waters, and cliffs sculpted by millennia of glaciation. Little explored and wildly pristine, this fjord offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Arctic. Its vast ice fields and lateral buoyage valleys are home to iconic wildlife: polar bears, muskoxen, arctic foxes, and short-billed geese can be spotted depending on conditions. Sailing through this monumental fjord is like entering the heart of an almost untouched territory, where silence, the grandeur of the landscape, and the Arctic light combine to create an unforgettable spectacle.

Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord North Fjord
Located north of Scoresby Sund, Nordfjord is a magnificent fjord that extends deep into the heart... see+ of Greenland. Its jagged shores, dominated by austere mountains and hanging glaciers, offer a breathtaking panorama where nature is both raw and majestic. We will land on the tundra, a vast expanse of moss, lichen, and small Arctic flowers battered by the winds. In this isolated landscape, the old trappers' huts remain, moving reminders of a time when a few men tried to live and hunt in one of the harshest environments on the planet. Silent witnesses to 20th-century Arctic history, these shelters tell the story of the expeditions, challenges, and precarious lives of the pioneers of northeastern Greenland. A day in Nordfjord is an opportunity to explore a land steeped in memory, where untouched nature and human history come together in a unique, powerful, and deeply authentic atmosphere.
Included activities: Excursion to Nordfjord, see+

North Fjord Eskimonaes Dodemansodden
Eskimonaes is an iconic site in northeastern Greenland, marked by the history of Arctic... see+ exploration. It was here that Danish geologist and adventurer Lauge Koch discovered a gold vein in 1930 while conducting geological surveys in this still largely unexplored region. A brief but remarkable mining operation, given the extreme isolation of the location, was carried out in the following years. A scientific station was then built in this naturally protected bay, becoming a point for mapping and research missions throughout the national park. Traces of ancient Inuit remains, now almost erased by time, bear witness to an even older human presence, where hunting and survival dictated the rhythm of life. At Dodemansodden, a windswept promontory surrounded by striking mineral landscapes, the atmosphere is even wilder. Steep cliffs, austere tundra, and still silence combine to create an environment that embodies the majestic solitude of East Greenland. A day filled with history, exploration, and the immensity of the Arctic.

Dodemansodden Smallefjord Haystak
Smallefjord lives up to its name: it is a narrow fjord, enclosed by spectacular mountain walls that... see+ seem to close in on the ship. This austere and grandiose mineral corridor offers an immersive navigation experience in the heart of a landscape that has remained completely wild. At the entrance to the fjord lie the vast plains of Hochester Land, one of the richest areas for terrestrial wildlife in northeast Greenland. These immense expanses are home to wild geese and musk oxen, emblems of the Arctic tundra, which can sometimes be seen grazing peacefully in this silent setting. The Haystak site, marked by unique rock formations, completes this day dedicated to contrasting landscapes: between steep mountains, Arctic meadows, and iconic wildlife. An exploration where the power of Greenland's nature is revealed in all its diversity.
Included activities: Wildlife watching, see+

Haystak Arctic sea ice
Navigating along and sometimes through annual and multi-year ice floes drifting from the Arctic... see+ Ocean. These white expanses, sculpted by wind and drift, form a silent and fascinating universe where light and ice interact endlessly. Depending on weather and ice conditions, a Zodiac cruise will allow you to get as close-hauled to the ice reliefs, channels, and compression zones where the ice floes rise up like blue walls. A landing on the ice floe may also be possible: a unique experience that gives the sensation of walking on the frozen sea, in one of the most iconic and fragile environments of the Arctic. An unforgettable day of exploration in the realm of ice and silence.
