Oslo
Arrival in Oslo and a tour of our magnificent capital. Despite its compact size, the city offers a... see+ wealth of experiences and tourist attractions. For culture lovers, the Bygdøy Peninsula is a veritable treasure trove of museums, including the Norsk Folkemuseum, which showcases traditional Norwegian life. This open-air museum features more than 150 buildings, including a stave church, and offers a complete immersion in Norway’s architectural history.

Oslo is brimming with restaurants, bars, and cafés—especially in the bohemian neighborhood of Grünerløkka or the trendy new Barcode district—making it easy to get a feel for life here. Don’t miss the Vigeland Sculpture Park, home to more than 200 often surreal sculptures by the famous sculptor Gustav Vigeland, and Ekeberg Park, known for its art installations and panoramic view of the city. The Munch Museum is a must-see for art lovers. It houses an extensive collection of works by the famous Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, including his iconic painting “The Scream.”

After breakfast, we board the ferry connecting Flåm to Gudvangen, which sails through the... see+ picturesque and narrow Nærøyfjord. This fjord is renowned for its spectacular scenery, including its mountain peaks, deep valleys, rivers, and waterfalls. As you cruise along these peaceful waters, you’ll be surrounded by some of Norway’s most beautiful natural wonders.

Once we arrive in Gudvangen, we’ll continue our journey to Voss, where we’ll take the train for the final leg of the trip to Bergen. Upon arrival in Bergen, we’ll spend the afternoon exploring this city, known as the “gateway to the fjords.” Founded in 1070 AD, Bergen has retained much of its character, charm, and history. Visit the Bryggen district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its colorful quays dating back to the 14th century. You can stroll through the cobblestone alleys, grab a bite to eat at a café or restaurant, take a ride on the Fløibanen funicular, or visit the famous fish market.

Andalsnes Træna
Træna is an archipelago located on the edge of the Arctic Circle, 33 nautical miles northwest in... see+ the open sea away from the mainland. Comprising approximately 500 islands, islets, and reefs—only four of which are inhabited year-round—Træna is a peaceful municipality that is home to a thriving bird population on its largely uninhabited islands.
Optional day excursions will take you deep into the archipelago’s traditions. The village will be open especially for you, including the church, the Petter Dass Chapel, and the local museum. You can also go on a hike, take a cultural walk, or relax in a sauna before taking a dip in the Arctic Ocean.
In the evening, as we set sail, take some time to rest and relax on the side of the boat. Continuing our voyage northward, we’ll cross the Arctic Circle and celebrate the occasion with a small Norwegian ceremony.

We berth in Reine, a major postcard-perfect fishing village founded in 1743. These landscapes are among the most photographed in Norway, where red-painted rorbu cabins cling to a string of islands dominated by rugged mountain ranges that are reflected in the waters below.
You can explore one of Norway’s best-preserved traditional fishing villages south of Reine, at the western point of the Lofoten archipelago. You can visit it as part of an optional excursion.
Located in the heart of this small village, the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum traces the development and importance of fishing in the Lofoten Islands over the past 250 years.

Reine Tromso
Today, you’ll have the chance to explore the capital of the Arctic. Often called the “gateway... see+ to the Arctic,” Tromsø is Norway’s northernmost university town.
This vibrant city is full of life, with trendy restaurants and cafés, shops selling crafts and local products, and even high-end fashion.
Most explorers participating in Arctic expeditions would embark or disembark in this city. We plan to berth there in the morning, giving you a full day to explore it. Choose from several optional excursions. Learn more about Tromsø’s polar culture and history on a walking tour or a sightseeing bus tour.
You can also visit the remarkable Arctic Cathedral, which stands out in the cityscape with its striking design and impressive stained-glass windows. Or take the Fjellheisen cable car to the top of Mount Storsteinen and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city, the mountains, and the fjords.

Tromso Henningsvær
Mid-morning, we arrive in Honningsvåg, the northernmost town on the Norwegian mainland.... see+ Honningsvåg is a relatively young town. It has held this status only since 1996 and remains one of Norway’s smallest towns today.
You have a choice of several optional excursions. You can take a bus or a quad bike to the North Cape, go on a hike with your expedition team, or discover what life is like at 71°N.
Honningsvåg is also the gateway to the North Cape, the famous “northernmost point of Europe.” The plateau rises 307 meters above sea level, just 1,600 kilometers south of the geographic North Pole. Take the time to gaze out at the sea from the top of these dizzying cliffs and watch the waves crash against the rocks below.
As we sail away from Honningsvåg, we’ll enjoy spectacular views of the plateau from the ship. The ship will then set course for the Barents Sea, leaving the coast of mainland Norway behind.

Henningsvær Ny Alesund
Today, we’re spending the day far from land as we cross the Barents Sea toward the wild and... see+ remote wilderness of Spitsbergen. It really feels like we’re leaving civilization behind as we sail toward the top of the world. A lecture on the Svalbard archipelago—known as the “Arctic Desert”—is scheduled. On deck, our talented chefs will prepare another special tasting—keep an eye out for points of interest highlighted by the expedition team.
This is a day to relax and enjoy the ship’s facilities, but also to learn more about our next destination. We’ll pass by the isolated and rugged island of Bjornøya—“Bear Island”—although no bears live there today. Why not grab a cup of tea or coffee, settle in comfortably, and read about the nature and history of the Arctic frontier? In the afternoon, upon our arrival in Ny-Ålesund, a briefing will inform you of the special rules to follow to protect the fragile local ecosystem.
Don’t forget that there are plenty of activities on board, so this might be the perfect time to visit the sauna, work out in the gym, or browse through the books in the library. You can also sort through the photos you’ve taken—and if any of them make you particularly proud, feel free to share them with the other passengers via the Cameralla app, so we can all enjoy them!

Ny Alesund Longyearbyen
Today, we arrive in the Svalbard archipelago and continue north to Spitsbergen, the largest of the... see+ three main islands. Magnificent brown and green mountains rise up, creating undulating patterns across the High Arctic tundra, while rivers of meltwater stream down the valley plains, glistening in the summer sun.

Just take a moment to feel where you are right now, here on Spitsbergen. You’re north of 78°N, 1,500 km south of the North Pole. The air in this Arctic wilderness is crisp and pure, and summer temperatures range from zero to eight degrees Celsius, thanks to a branch of the Gulf Stream that warms this northern region.

In the early afternoon, we arrive in Longyearbyen, nestled on the shores of the Isfjord. It’s time to disembark from the ship and head to your hotel, the Funken Lodge. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the hotel.

Today, we’ll set out on an unforgettable excursion to explore the wildlife and glaciers. After... see+ breakfast, a bus will take us to the harbor, where a hybrid-electric catamaran will be waiting for us. Over the next few hours, you’ll be able to admire Spitsbergen’s magnificent landscapes close-hauled, while minimizing disruption to the wildlife thanks to the ship’s silent propulsion. We’ll glide silently along the ice edge of Billefjorden, taking in views of the Nordenskiöldbreen Glacier and the ghost town of Pyramiden. Enjoy the view from the outdoor decks and panoramic windows. After this special cruise, you’ll have time to relax and perhaps explore the town on your own.
In the evening, we have a surprise in store for you: a unique 14-course tasting menu at Huset, Longyearbyen’s iconic restaurant. Featuring local Arctic ingredients, this exquisite culinary experience showcases a variety of Nordic flavors. Pair your meal with a selection of wines from one of Scandinavia’s largest wine cellars. What an unforgettable way to end your trip!

Note: It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the hotel to Huset. You can book a taxi, but it is not included.

Panoramic bus tour of the Troll Route
We'll depart from the village of Åndalsnes, Norway's mountaineering capital. This region is home to one of Europe's most beautiful rail routes and one of Europe's most spectacular hikes, according to Lonely Planet, so get ready to be amazed.

We'll follow... see+ the Rauma River, framed by vertiginous mountains, including the 1,500 m-high Mount Romsdalshorn on one side and the 1,550 m-high Trolltindane on the other. Our first photo stop is at the vertiginous Trollveggen.

We then cross the Sogge bridge into the Isterdal valley, lined with mountains named King, Queen and Bishop, before tackling the famous hairpin bends to climb the Troll road.

We'll make a photo stop at the Stigfossen waterfall before climbing the Troll Road. Admire the beautiful scenery from the comfort of your coach, or take part in an optional walk to another viewpoint. We slowly wind our way up the Troll Road before returning to our ship.

Queen and Lofoten landscape
Our journey begins in Reine, one of Lofoten's most famous villages, on the island of Moskenes. Our route takes us past the incredible Reinebringen, which at 448 m is the highest peak in the archipelago. Heading north, we follow the inland coast road, between incredible mountains on one side and the sea on the other. You'll see picturesque scenes of charming fishing villages clinging to the mountainsides that rise from the sea. A typical Lofoten landscape.

First stop: Å. This fishing village, one of the best preserved in Norway, lies at the westernmost tip of the archipelago. Visit its museum to learn more about its maritime past: you'll discover traditional wooden boats, an old bakery and the interior of a fishing family home.

Next, we follow the outer coast for a quick photo stop in front of the charming church of Flakstad, the second oldest on the Lofoten Islands, before reaching Ramberg beach. On a sunny day, this 1.3 km-long white-sand beach will make you doubt you're 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. We'll stop here for lunch and enjoy some local specialities, before heading back to Reine.

Quad biking to the North Cape
Hop on your ATV and head toward—or from—the northernmost point of continental Europe, the North Cape, and enjoy breathtaking views throughout your journey.

Once everyone has put on their gear and your guide has briefly gone over the safety guidelines... see+ for riding a quad bike, you’ll set off on this scenic tour of Magerøya Island. During the trip, we’ll make several stops so you can take photos.

Once we reach the North Cape, you can walk or ride to the North Cape monument to take the traditional photo at Norway’s most famous northern landmark. We’ll then proceed to tour the North Cape Hall.

Your guide may offer a brief tour of the facilities, unless you’d prefer to take the time to explore the area on your own.

Once our tour is over, the passenger from the outbound trip will take the driver’s seat and drive us back to Honningsvåg. This sailing itinerary will offer a few more opportunities to take photos.

We'll travel by bus beyond the 71st parallel to the North Cape, which rises 307 meters above the ocean on the roof of Europe.
